Comments: I really like the 883. I recently needed to start wearing custom orthotics and they fit great in these shoes. I've always been a NB fan so I'm really glad I found these.

Comments: I just now see Tonygio's comment above on sizing which I wish I'd read before I ordered these. I'm usually a small 10. The 10-1/2s I bought were least a half-size too big. Yes, I know I could return them (Running Warehouse is great to deal with), but I had them sent to me overseas from where it would be just too much hassle. I bought these because I had a pair of the now-discontinued size 10-1/2 NB 881s which fit so well. That's the idea behind the Shoe Fitr tool, which I think is marvellous, but to be effective it will be essential that older models which are the basis for comparison be added to the database. Since the 883 is built on the same last and is the descendant of the 881 & 882, I assumed (wrongly) I couldn't go wrong ordering the same size.

Comments: Tried these and Saucony Echelons. These are lighter, wider (I ordered a 2E width in both and these have a much fuller, better fitting toebox), more cushioned and much more flexible. By the way, sizing is standard shoe sizing for this NB model, so no need to order up a 1/2 size as usual with NB running shoes. I kept these and sent the Echelons back. The 883's are considerably less expensive than the Saucony Echelons...
