Comments: love this shoe. so comfy and hugs my feet just right. the color is stunning and almost don't want to get them dirty! i would say nike shoes in general run small, and this one's no exception. i am a pretty solid 8.5 and i bought these sneakers in a 9. the fit is perfect and of course great price and fast shipping from running warehouse!

Comments: Took these out for my first run, initially to test them out for a quick 5-miler, but these shoes felt so good that I continued running an additional 9 miles. These are in the minimal category, but for me, these have enough cushioning to go for long distances. I loved the V1, V2, and V3. The V4 was too restrictive and lacked breathability because of the plastic overlays. The V5 returns to the open mesh design and I absolutely love it. I instantly returned to the Running Warehouse site at bought another pair in a different color.

Comments: I purchased this shoe two weeks before the Boston Marathon and after one run I knew this was my race shoe. I've previously trained in the Free Run but never ran in the 3.0. The transition from the Free Run to the 3.0 was smooth. They performed well and left my feet in good condition after the race. I typically wear a racing flat and end up with blisters and black toe nails. I'm looking forward to training in these shoes.
Comments: These are a much needed update to the Free 3.0 V4. I really enjoyed the V3 and ran my first marathon in them. The V4 just didn't have the open, flexible upper that the previous version did. So when these became available I was at the very least skeptical. But I have now put in 100+ miles in the V5 and have fallen in love again. These will be on my feet for my next 2 marathons. The upper has a mesh overlay that is very soft and comfy. The interior part of the upper has been reduced dramatically. It has some around the heel and under the lacing, but has been removed everywhere else. Perfect solution to the overheating problems of V4. Everything else is the same as V4, the sole is identical, but why change something that works well. I got over 500 miles on my V3 and wonder why other shoe companies cannot make a rubber compound as durable as the free's rubber sole material. Other exposed EVA shoes just get shredded too quickly for my 200 pound frame. I keep trying other brands and models, but I always come back to the Frees.
