Comments: I have been wearing the Salomon Speedcross for a while now and feel no need to "try" another shoe. This shoe is comfortable in all distances and I never blistered during a 100 mile race. They are grippy and not as slick as others while running over wet rocks. Best of all...I feel like they do a pretty good job of getting the water out after plunging through creeks and wet terrain. I am sold!

Comments: This is my 5th pair of Salomon Speedcross trail runners. I am typically a 7.5 in all shoes, but found the first pair of Salomons ran a little larger than all my other running shoes. So, I went with a size 7. Since this first pair, I have ordered 4 more in a size 7 and found the sizing to be a 1/2 up or down in each pair. My red pair is very snug and fits like a 6.5 while this latest black/pink pair is the largest of the bunch and fits like a size 8. Even with the wonky sizing, this is the most comfortable and stable trail shoe I have ever purchased. I need serious traction for quick turns and changes of direction required in the sport of dog agility. I also trail run in them 3-4 times per week in dirt, mud and snow.

Comments: Wore these shoes for the first time on a 50 mile trail race. It was a bold move, but the shoes did not fail me. They never blistered or rubbed. The trail was covered in leaves and I never slipped once. I had been running on Newtons and used the sizing chart to place my order and the sizing was perfect. I wear an 8.5-9W and have a narrow foot. The Solomon Speecross impressed me in its secure heel and narrow, comfortable fit. The soles provide a great grip.
