Comments: Very disappointed in these, way too tight in the toe area, have had nothing but sore squashed toes and also very slippery sole in the wet. Was hoping they would be as comfortable as previous asics, but they failed miserably.

Comments: I have to agree with Julie above. The toe box was too tight and through the arch. I didn't notice any problems with the instep height though. I have been wearing Asics exclusively for the past 7 years and these were supposed to be a replacement for the 1170 series. If this is how they fit I may need to change brands or styles. Disappointed.

Comments: After running in many pairs of Asics over the years, I felt fairly confident in the description offered for the GT 1000. Shoe was way too tight through the toe box and arch. The instep height is shallow and not ample for someone with a medium to high arch. Very sad because I really believed this one would be my go to shoe upon arrival.
