Comments: The nimbus 15 is a good shoe. It fits better than the 14 did because it has more room in the midfoot area. When running with the shoe you can tell it is heavier than the last two models. I think it has a lot more support because of this. For a runner with more body weight it is a great shoe. The size of the shoe fit me just like the last ones did.

Comments: This is an updated review on the Nimbus 15s. I originally noticed they were sized longer than prior versions, but questioned whether I needed to size down. After a few more runs in them it became increasingly apparent that I needed to size down. I exchanged for 1/2 size smaller and they fit much better without feeling tight at all. Sizing down 1/2 is the way to go with this version.

Comments: The Nimbus 7 was one of my favorite shoes but subsequent versions were nothing like it (the Excel33 1 is the closest I've found). I tried the Nimbus 10 and found the upper to be too stiff, the midole to be too inflexible and firm yet unresponsive, and the ride to be quite unsmooth. I didn't bother with subsequent versions since they didn't seem like enough of a deviation from the 10. This one is quite different. I found the cushioning and responsiveness of the Nimbus 15 to be superior to both the Glycerin 10 and Vomero 7. If I were a bigger runner I'd definitely prefer the Glycerin, though. The Glycerin is definitely smoother but less responsive. It also has more of a glove-like fit which I don't prefer in a training shoe. Between the Vomero and Nimbus, the Nimbus has a more comfortable fit and flexible upper.

Comments: I thought these were the cream of the crop for a neutral high milage trainer. I was tired of putting in 20+ miles a week on my Kinvaras. Turns out I was seduced by the looks. Blisters on top of blisters and a bloody heal after a week's worth of runs. I sent them back. Not sure what happened.

Comments: The Nimbus 15 in my opinion is an improvement over the 14. Issues with the tongue of the 14 have been resolved in the 15. More padding was included through the length of the tongue and the bottom of the tongue is visibly redesigned to eliminate the pinch. The heel cup and arch wrap are similar in feel to the prior version while there is more volume in the toe box. The 15s may be sized slightly longer than the 14s. Depending on your foot size you may or may not want to size down. In my case I believe sizing down would be too tight. Cushioning is better, especially in the forefoot. From the side view, there appears to be more gel units. The 15s also feel more flexible out of the box than the 14s. As a mid-foot striker, I like the ride and responsiveness of the 15s better than the 14s.

Comments: What a disappointment. I have run in Nimbus exclusively as an everyday trainer and thought that the 14, although a bit heavy, had a great fit and ride. I bought the 15 and they run big, feel not like a running shoe and is way too heavy. In addition the colors are awful. I returned them immediately and got the cumulus 15 which feel much more like a true running shoe.

Comments: I completely agree with the comment from Anonymous. Unfortunately I'm hoping the "generous" fit in the first pair I purchased can be resolved with some lace tweaking as opposed to ordering another pair sized down a little. The Nimbus 15's feel fantastic before you even open the door and didn't disappoint one bit out on the road. I recently purchased every Nimbus 12 I could find, since the 13 and 14 versions were not what I had hoped for. However, the 15 makes up for it. Unfortunately I see many of the 15's being exchanged as everyone settles in to the new sizing. Great job Asics!

Comments: Got a chance to try these early. The cushion is substantially improved from the last version. The ride is more flexible and the upper and midsole are very comfortable. The fit is quite generous.
