Comments: What a great shoe! I have been running in a neutral shoe for years and recently switched to a support shoe. I am alternating between these and the Saucony Guide 5. I prefer the cushion of the Ravenna. They are quickly becoming my favorite. I run around 45 miles per week and use these for my easy runs as well as my tempo runs. I do agree that the sole seems very soft, but hey, I don't expect them to last forever. I will probably get 400 miles or so out of these. I am impressed so far.

Comments: I have to take back my earlier review. I now have 31 miles of running in these shoes and already they have developed balding spots. What gives? 31 miles and the threads are showing premature wear. I'm waiting to hear back from Brooks. I have an older pair of Ravenna 2's with around 180 miles that show better thread wear. I also have a pair of Adrenaline 11 GTS with around 250 + miles on them that have more thread remaining than some spots on my brand new Ravenna 3's. I think the soft sole is not holding up.

Comments: Fantastic upgrade to Ravenna 2. Broke them in on a 5 mile run and they provide a plush but yet nimble feel. I loved Ravenna 2's because they feel light and I love the way they roll effortlessly. The positive improvements in this 3 version are the plush upper and roomer toe area. The only complaint I had about the Ravenna 2 was the tight toe box which becomes an issue on long runs. These new shoes are more comfortable without compromising weight. They are perhaps not as svelte as the Ravenna 2 but overall I give them a 9 on a 1-10 scale.
