Comments: I was an avid buyer of the Brooks Trance, which was discontinued and for all intents and purposes, replaced by the Transcend. The two shoes could not be more different. The Trance was comfy and plush and I pounded out 80+ mile weeks in them no problem. The Transcend almost feels like on of the more minimalist Pure Project shoes in comparison. And the fit across the instep is so much tighter than any Trance I ever owned. I realize the Trance couldn't stay frozen in time. But the Transcend is a step backward.

Comments: Had a test run in these at a local store. Very cushioned and seemed a bit lighter than my New Balance 860 V3. Feels a lot like the Nike Pegasus Shield I had before and my more minimalist Brooks. I had to stop running in those as they didn't quite support me right. These Transcends didn't have as much support in the back on the sides of my heel as the 860s and I was starting to get pain after 2 miles at the bones at the base of my big toe just forward of the arch, just like those Nike's that nearly made me stop running. Probably going to get a pair of NB 860 V4 instead.

Comments: Pretty much everything Mike said. Compared to Hoka Stinson's, the feel is more conventional (lower), but still very cushioned. As Mike, the shoes encourages a really smooth stride. When I ran with weight on, I could tell the shoe worked even better so I think it would work even better for heavier runners. 6' 175"

Comments: Shoe has a lot of cushion. The transition from heel to toe is outstanding. I'm 5'9" 185lbs. I've run in a lot of brooks shoes from the Pure Cadence to the Adrenalines. I usually run in Ravenna's but I thought I'd give these a try. I'm glad I did. The shoe is low to ground and responsive. It's a heavier shoe but you can't really tell when you have them on. The upper is comfortable but it doesn't really lock the heel into place, a little slip. I also had a little hot spot in the front of my left arch. I'm hoping that goes away. I'll update more as I run more. Overall very satisfied with this shoe.
