Comments: This model seemed bulkier and heavier than the pink/white road model I previously wore (which I LOVE). That said, it is still good for recovery runs, which is all I wear Hoka for. I recommend an ankle-covering sock to go with these as they rubbed my skin raw when I was breaking them in. I run 55-90 mpw and on the heavy end of that training, I do a lot of slow/recovery-type training. My coach says to do it on grass to prevent injury and/or wear-and-tear. I have found that Hokas offer the same benefit as running on grass or sand, which is easing the impact so you can run more with less chance of injury. Also, I wear a 8.0 in Brooks and a 7.0 in Hokas. Use the Running Warehouse size tool when ordering, it is accurate.

Comments: I ordered these in 8.5, my normal running shoe size. They were huge! So I tried some Hoka models on in a local store and the 7.5 is perfect. The Hoka toebox doesn't taper as dramatically as other running shoes, so if you order-up to avoid crunching your little toe, you can order your actual measured size. The shoes feel amazingly comfortable and I can't wait to run in them.

Comments: Received my shoes yesterday... Couldn't wait to put them on. Light weight, super comfortable, never had a sneaker feel like this before. I'm not a runner, I'm 66 and no matter what sneaker I buy nothing works for me. I have had several surgeries on my feet, and now that I'm retired and ready to start walking I have not been able to due to foot pain. My niece is a runner and told me to try these as she has several pairs and swears by them. She just completed a hundered mile run a week ago in a pair of Hokas. All I can say is that I'm back to walking and they make me taller and feel wonderful!!!!! Well worth the price, like walking on a cloud.
