Comments: The Mizuno Wave Inspire 9 has been a true game-changer in my running. After dealing with Puma pain and Adidas aches for months, I made the big switch and am so thankful. The Wave Inspire may appear as a bit of an ugly duckling with its unique color combos, but don't let that scare you off for a second. The proof is in the design and construction, and Mizuno gets an A+ for both. As a 40-something mid foot striker logging 30 mpw, I needed a good shoe to lean on, and I feel that I have finally struck gold in these Mizunos. The crash pad design makes for a perfect transition to the toe off. Along the way, the pronation support is excellent, and the unique heel counter keeps slippage to a minimum. Ventilation is excellent also. The list goes on and on. After five weeks of running with these in all sorts of conditions and distances ranging from 5k to 10 miles, I cannot say enough good things about this pair of runners. The price alone makes them a virtual steal in the marketplace.

Comments: These are my first inspires since version 6. I still consider Wave Inspire 6 to be the best running shoes that I have ever worn. That being said, it would unfair of me to try and compare the 2. When I first received version 9 I Couldn't for the life of me get them to lace up comfortably.I decided to completely unlace them and start from scratch.Re lacing them, I noticed that the 4th eyelet up from the toe is extremely offset, something that my many other running shoes are not. I bypassed the offset eyelet and low and behold they now feel great. Running in these shoes are just about what I expected.Good amount of support, pronation control, and a smooth feel upon contact with the ground. Me? 5'11", 155, 62 years young. My mileage varies according to injury status on a particular day. I do plan on running with these shoes in my next 13.1

Comments: A very reliable, dependable shoe for me. I've tried shoes that are flashier, lighter, or more minimal but keep coming back to these for daily distance and long runs. The upper is a big plus and a great improvement over the old model. Glad that Mizuno got rid of all those overlays! For a support shoe, it is light and responsive. Sizing for me is exactly like all other Mizuno models.

Comments: This is by far, in my opinion, the best Inspire model for sure. A more cushioned feel, especially in the forefoot. Much lighter and just enough stability without feeling stiff or hard. Seems to fit about a 1/2 size small to me. Very pleased after 50 miles and a good 5K race in mine.

Comments: Sizing seems to have changed compared to previous Inspires. My usual US10 was quite a bit too long on my foot.
