Comments: Thick, comfortable shoe that fits well on my narrow feet. Great shoe for trail running where I need a bit more cushion and protection. Great grip over loose surfaces and moderate weight. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Comments: I'm an ultra trail runner, race on southeastern mountain trails with lots of mud, stream crossings, sharp rocks, gravel roads, and steep ups and downs. I've worn Montrail Rockridges (size 14) for a while, and just got my new Bajada's in size 14 since the Rockridges have been discontinued.
Despite the Montrail rep's telling me the fit would be comparable, and despite RW's shoe fitter showing me the the Bajada and the Rockridge would be the same fit they definitely are not. The Bajada is more snug around the metatarsals, and across the top of the shoebox. I have Morton's neuroma issues, and need a wide toe box. Not sure the Bajada's are going to work.
Also, the normal length shoe laces are too short to tie with more than a uselessly small knot. It looks like the gap between the lacing points on the Bajada are wider than on the Rockridges, and thus need longer laces to bridge the longer gap. The Bajada's are noticeably lighter and more flexible than the Rockridges. If your foot is swimming around in Rockridges or even in the old Hardrocks then you'll probably be fine in the Bajada's.
