Comments: I just received these shoes and test drove them at a 5K trail race... at night. The majority of the day consisted of torrential rain and so 90% of the race was mud. There were steep climbs, water crossings, slick bridges, wicked switchbacks, rocky sections and hard gravel paths. These shoes were great. I didn't slip once, and I felt bouncy and light (these shoes feel much lighter than the Masochists). My only concern was how much I could feel through them. They are very soft and squishy, so I think from now on I'll keep them on less technical trails, but these are definitely my new go-to training shoe.
