Comments: This shoe is great but it runs 1/2 size small. I loved the feel of the size 12 1/2, but it was 1/2 size too small. When I went to a 13 it was traditionally larger overall. I put thicker insoles in, and now use the size 13.

Comments: I thought the NB850 was the most comfortable running shoe I had ever worn, but this shoe is even more comfortable than that. Broken-in right out of the box. I can't speak for the long-term wear/durability though. Toe box is noticeably smaller than the 850. There is no better 4E width shoe for distance running.

Comments: Rock-solid stable with a super smooth transition, I can really dig in these. Still an SL-1 model, so sizing is consistent with past models in this line that this shoe replaces. Good cushion for the 44 year old ankles and knees this 5'5", 160lb frame trots along on (though I could always go for a little extra forefoot cushion). Only complaint is that NB has eliminated the excellent N-lock arch wrap, in favor of....nothing apparently. Please bring it back NB!!

Comments: As with the 850's, New Balance has once again delivered a premiere shoe for medium framed, flat footed, runners like myself. The 940 provides the best support, cushioning, and comfort to help me cope with a mild case of Plantar Fasciitis. If a mild stability shoe does not provide enough support, or if a motion control shoe provides too much, this if your go-to shoe. I could not be more satisfied.
