Newton Fate Men's Shoes Yellow/Orange Customer feedback

Comments: If you've tried Newtons in the past, try them again; the 5 lug configuration really is more stable than the old 4 lug configuration. I also find that the Fate/ Kimset are the perfect shoes for the Newton beginner (theres really not that much difference between them in reality,) though at the specialty shop I work at I've seen plenty of people jump into the Distance or Motion right away. That said, what the Fate/ Kimset offer is a rounded set of lugs that really make the transition from one stride to another smooth and easy. There's also some substantial rubber in the heel of the shoe in case you get lazy toward the end of a long run, but chances are you won't need it. The rounded lugs make the sensation of having something under the ball of your feet disappear after a mile or so, and even if you do continue to feel the lugs, they're not uncomfortable or intrusive at all. Also, you're going to run a ton of miles in this shoe. It feels great, and the air chambers under the l ugs insure the shoe will last for twice as long as a traditional EVA foam shoe will. I'm 120-130 lbs. and can easily get 800+ miles out of the fate. The Fate will give you a roomy, accommodating ride that allows for toe splay but doesnt feel sloppy in the least. FYI- both the Fate and the Kimset are responsive shoes that are on the firmer side of the spectrum. The Fate will be just a little bit softer than the Kimset.
