Saucony Guide 7 Women's Shoes Black/Citron/Berry Customer feedback

Comments: I used to be a fan of Guide 6, but Guide 7 doesn't work so well for me. Besides not fitting my foot nicely (they are too loose), I've experienced different pains since I've been wearing them: shin, ITB... nothing too bad fortunately. I could run without issues with Guide 6. In other words, I don't like Guide 7. I look forward to the Guide 8 upgrade, I still have faith in this shoe.

Comments: These shoes feel good walking around, but they're a bit clunky during a run. They have only an 8 mm drop, which is supposed to encourage a more efficient midfoot strike. But it seemed to promote just the opposite response during a recent 3-mile trial run. The area under the ball of the foot is a bit more cushioned than say, the Mizuno Inspire. As a result, the Guide 7 feels bulky and the extra cushioning feels like it's pushing midfoot strikers into heel strikers. The toe box also is a bit more roomy than the Inspire, which may be fine for some runners. But if you are a narrow B, like I am, it's a bit too roomy. On the recent 3-mile trial run, I was fighting the Guide the entire time. The shoe isn't bad--it's just not for for some runners.
