Saucony Kinvara 4 GTX Women's Shoes Black/Vizi Pink Customer feedback

Comments: I bought these shoes after I was fitted for them at a local running shoe shop in town. I loved how they felt, and my forefot strike seemed to be a perfect fit for these shoes. I didn't pay attention to the difference in my drop from the Asics Cumulus I was wearing from the Kinvara. Going from a 11mm drop to a 4mm drop was brutal for me, and I ended with awful shin splints. Be careful if you're transitioning from a higher drop shoe to these. They felt like butter when I tried them on, but after I ran in them a few miles, it was a whole different story!

Comments: I've been running in the Kinvara line for a while now. I liked the feel of the Kinvara 2 except that the fabric on top of toe box wasn't sturdy and I got a few holes. The Kinvara 3 fixed that problem, and I was really happy with the look and feel of this shoe. I'd been hoping I still could still find it, but, not surprisingly, now the Kinvara 4 is out. The big attraction of it is supposed to be the GoreTex upper. Well, I tried these shoes on and they feel.... really constricting and stiff. Even walking around in them is weird. Definitely feels like a downgrade from the 3s. It's too bad, because the description makes the 4s out to have the same feel as the 3s. I didn't run in these shoes because just walking was bad enough. I'll be returning them. The GoreTex would be handy if I'm running through ankle-deep puddles on a windy day, but would just make my feet really sweaty on a hot, summer day, since the shoes don't seem very breathable.
