Customer feedback

Comments: I love these shoes after about 200 miles on them. Mostly running on forest trails. The traction is very good on wet leaves and light snow. Pretty good on loose dirt. Once broken in, they form well to the feet. The uppers are durable and have resisted several sharp sticks. The laces are stretchy which helps fit. The shoes clean up well and still look great. I'm 200 pounds and find the cushioning is sufficient on trail runs of 20 miles. I've worn Peregrine 2 (which are great shoes), NB 101s and 110s and couldn't fit into Kinvara TR1s (toe box was too small). I like the Kinvara TR2s best.

Comments: I think these Kinvara TR2s are quite similar to the old NB MT101s, much more so than the MT110s. They have a nice flexible upper, solid rock plate, and good traction for all but the most sloppy conditions. They have a near perfect amount of cushion, enough for races up to ~13 mi while still keeping a very low profile. Two of my first three runs in these were 6 and 10 mi races (Six in the Stix and Exeter 10 miler) and they felt great.

Comments: I was a bit nervous to buy these shoes despite prior success with other Saucony running shoes simply because of medicore reviews of the Kinvara TR (version 1) shoe. So far I have been very pleased with the TR2 that is lighter than the original TR. I run without socks and have had no blisters/hot spots. We'll see how they hold up after a couple hundred miles. I'd buy them again and will think about trying the Kinvara road shoe when my Free 3.0s wear out.
