Comments: I have been using the Ride 4 and liking it very much. When I saw the Ride 6 GTX I got excited because I thought I would get the Ride 4 fit in a water resistant shoe (the upper is Gore-tex). I used the Shoe FitR and coming off a size 9 1/2 Ride 4 I ordered a size 9 Ride 6 GTX as suggested. Overall the fit was decent, but it seemed like the Ride 6 GTX was built on a different last than the Ride 4. My little toes were very crowded on the Ride 6 GTX and there was no arch support like the Ride 4 has. I am not sure this was evident on the Shoe Fitr. So, sadly I had to return the Ride 6 GTX - going up a half size would have made the shoe too loose and then no arch support either. I was impressed with the quality of construction and materials used on the Ride 6 GTX. Wish it had worked out. I never did get to run in them.

Comments: I've run in the Ride for the last couple of years. The 5's were really good. Soft and long lasting. The 6 feels pretty much the same with one glaring fault: the sock liner is much less cushioned and was blown out (flattened at the base of my big toe) after 99 miles. I had to put in a different sock liner. Other than that I think the shoe will perform the same as the 5.
