The Saucony Omni 11 delivers all the serious overpronator needs in a running shoe: maximum pronation support, significant cushioning and a smooth, stable ride.
- Serious Weight Reduction: The latest Omni comes in 1.5 ounces lighter than previous model.
- More Level: Thanks to a decrease in heel stack height and increase in forefoot stack height, the heel-to-toe offset moves down to 8mm in the Omni 11, from 13mm in the Omni 10.
- Expanded Cushioning: The Omni 11 gets full-length ProGrid for whole-foot shock dissipation.
- More Supportive Upper: Saucony’s Arch-Lock technology is added on medial side of the foot for a more secure fit.
If you need maximum pronation support, you know what a challenge it can be to find a shoe that feels smooth a light underfoot. According to our testers, the Omni 11 is a pretty impressive shoe for the amount of support it offers. The support in the medial midsole is noticeable - typical of a max support shoe - but never gets in the way of a smooth transition from heel to toe.
Testers were also impressed with the amount of cushioning in the latest Omni, particularly in the forefoot where the expanded ProGrid unit is noticeable. The shoe has a bouncy feel, offering very good energy return that’s proportional to what you’d expect. The combination of the forefoot cushioning and lowered heel height makes the shoe feel very level.
The upper design of the Omni 11 has been simplified, and continues to offer a wide-gauge open mesh that keeps the foot cool. There’s room where you need it, but even if your foot is on the narrow side, the midfoot can be cinched down easily.
With the latest Omni, Saucony is giving a lighter weight option to runners who just a few years ago only had fairly clunky and heavy shoes to choose from.
As a maximum support shoe, I was expecting the Omni 11 to be heavy and clunky. Not the case. This shoe's relatively light weight and smooth ride made it a joy to run in.
With such a long stretch of higher density foam in the medial midsole, I was expecting a stiff shoe. But the Omni feels very light while it guides your foot’s biomechanics.
