Product Details:

For those looking for a training companion that can handle long runs at faster paces, the Brooks Hyperion Max may be the shoe for you. Engineered to deliver an efficient and comfortable ride at high speeds and long distances, the Hyperion Max has what it takes to get you to the next level. The Hyperion Max features a nitrogen-infused midsole foam called DNA Flash that is designed to maximize energy return and works with the rockered geometry called Rapid Roll technology to speed up the transition through your gait cycle and offer a propulsive toe-off. The density of the DNA FLASH is optimized to provide ample protection over longer efforts, which makes the Hyperion Max an ideal choice for runners looking for an uptempo trainer that can handle long, faster runs as well as shorter speed workouts.

As to the underfoot experience, the Hyperion Max has a wider base to promote stability and is equipped with a durable and grippy rubber that provides long-lasting protection as the miles increase. Leaving no detail unattended to, the Hyperion Max features a lightweight and breathable woven upper that offers the optimal amount of structure and comfort. Top to bottom, the Hyperion Max is built to go far and fast—lace up and enjoy the ride.

The best daily trainer EVERI have around 600 miles on my pair, and they show almost no sign of wear or slowing down. I run about 50 miles per week almost exclusively in them and they are still perfectly fine

My Everyday ShoeI was a big fan of Sauncony Speed 2s. The Speed 3s didn't work for me...so I set out seeking a new shoe. This lead to me the Hyperion Temp which I got on sale. Wow...what a fun, simple tempo/race shoe. For the first time in a while I felt like I was able to engage my feet in the run. Almost like being bare foot, but with enough cushion and protection. Next I tried the Hyperion Max. At first I didn't know what to think. They're similar but different. They offer more cushion and an heel/rocker which took me awhile to get used to. So now about 200 miles in they are the only shoes I want to wear. To me they are a daily trainer that I can easily do 70 miles a week in. They feel good going easy or pushing the pace. I shun my Brooks Ghost 15's and Saucony Triump 20's in favor to running in the Hyperion Max's.

Great ShoeBrooks has done well here, producing a light and fast trainer that will also work well as a race day choice for the half marathon or marathon. Cannot wait to lace them up on race day in March. The Hyperion Max is a quiet companion that fits better than the Hyperion Tempo (the Tempo is a bit pinchy in the midfoot) and feels better (and faster) stride for stride, too. I am an experienced and competitive master and am impressed with this shoe.

Light and responsiveI ordered these on a whim and glad I did. My other shoe is the Hoka Mach 5. The Hoka has a softer feel but no surprise as I only weigh 130 and don’t compress firmer mid soles and rubber out soles as much as someone heavier. The Hyperion Max has a nice fit, roomy in the forefoot. They feel like you could pick up the pace but I’m too old for that. They also feel like you could do long runs but I’m too old for that too. I just like light weight shoes that feel good and these check those boxes.

Supportive and QuickReally good shoe all around. Can definitely move faster for threshold and some repetition work as well. I have got about 170 miles in them and they just need about 10-20 miles to break into your feet. Really glad these have strong heel support. If you heel lock, your heel is not going to budge in the slightest. I've done up to 15 miles at once in these as well as some 800m repeats and my feet felt fast and comfortable in both situations. Would recommend.

Great shoe but fit issuesI love this shoe but there are fit issues for me. US size 11 is too small. US size 11.5 is way too long. The midsole is amazing. I don't like very soft/squishy midsoles (e.g. NB Rebel). It's cushioned enough for runs up to 10 miles. If I had input for version 2.0 I would make a couple of changes. I would open up the toe box a little bit. This might fix the length issues. I would also reduce the undercut of the heel. The current version isn't a problem but it does make the shoe feel a little odd. The Hyperion Tempo heel was perfect for me. All and all a great shoe. I just wish it fit me better.

Fantastic well cushioned high performanceIf I was not partial to max cushion shoes, these would be a 5 star. In other words, its a 4 star for me only because I prefer A LOT of plush cushion. However, that being said, these offer the highest amount of cushioning of all the shoes I tried that are designed as up tempo/faster trainers. In fact, the material of the midsole is such that I almost feel that giving a review only after 15 miles is unfair as the DNA Flash material does no doubt, get more comfortable while still maintaining responsiveness the more you use them. The DNA Flash material in Brooks is very much to me like the HyperBurst material in Sketchers. In that with less mid-sole material, I get actually more comfort and energy return than shoes boasting more plush cushion with greater stack height (HOKA Clifton and HOKA Bondi for instance). In the mid-sole material department, this material is in my top 3 choices for plush/responsive ride. I also found a near perfect trail shoe in the brooks Caldera 6 which uses very similar material. I think that these shoes are much better than many carbon racers available as they are fast, provide good energy return and are made exceptionally well.

Favorite ShowLove this shoe. I'm a bigger runner (6'2", 200#s) and this type of nitrogen infused foam seems to be the best fit for my size and style. Really reminds me of the Skechers Go Run Razor, but its execution and quality is better. The stack height is more than enough for me, I think they've nailed the perfect balance. A few years ago this would be a 'max' shoe, nowadays probably not. But it hits the sweet spot perfectly. Best use for me is longer tempo runs. 12-20 miles at 6:30-7:00 pace feels perfect in this shoe.

Hyperion Max is the answer to temposI went on a limb to try this shoe as I liked the hyperion tempo and the elite, but I didn't want to wear my elites on every tempo and didn't want to use the tempos on longer efforts. I enjoyed the fit the most, which is why I decided to try it out. So far it's helping me get the most out of my tempo runs, but feels good for easy days as well.

Push The Run Dr Dave CertifiedI have over 75 miles in my Hyperion Max shoes. At first I did not think I would like them because the stack height is not as high as other shoes I like for uptempo runs. I can definitely say that the relatively medium stack height is VERY deceiving. What the shoe lacks in stack height is certainly made up for in the DNA Flash foam. Even walking in these shoes you can feel the responsiveness, cushy feeling, yet fast-forward drop makes these shoes scream RUN!!! With the advances in today's foams, you definitely can't tell a shoe by its stack.
