Rincon FailureI would not recommend the Rincon 3. The tongue disappears. There is no energy, my runs have felt flat. I did try the Rincon 2 and was pleasantly surprised. I was hoping the Rincon 3 would be just as good. This was not the case. I will use these on the treadmill, but not on the road. Very disappointed.

A great comfortable shoeA very well performing shoe, comfortable for all short and medium runs. Haven't tested it beyond about 11 miles but does not show any indication of problems even for longer runs. Very light weight but very well built. One of my favorite models to run in.

DisappointedI've been wearing Rincons as my daily trainer for 2 or 3 years now. I've had 2 pairs of the og rincons and 5 pairs of the Rincon 2. I've put hundreds of miles into each of those pairs. And now I'm working on my first pair of the rincon 3. This new model is really disappointing. It feels like a completely different shoe. The sizing is bigger, and there seems to be a significant decrease in outsole foam quantity. The upper is great and I don't have any complaints about the tongue as I know others do. But someone said this shoe feels like a thick slide sandal with a shoe upper and I have to agree. I've put 60 miles on this new pair and it already feels worse than my most recent Rincon 2 that has easily 300+ miles on it. It lost that cushiony springy feel Rincons usually have after the first 20 miles. I give it 3 stars because it is super light and minimal, which I prefer, and the colorway is super cool. Other than that, I love the Rincon model historically, but this version just isn't for me.

Hoka vs Skechers running shoeAfter having a poor result from running with a Skechers Razor4 shoe, the Running Warehouse was able to exchange this shoe with a Hoka Rincon 3. Thanks Running Warehouse! I compared the Rincon3 with the Clifton9. The Clifton9 runs too big for its stated size.

Rincon 3I'm pleased with the whole process. Information given for each shoe made it easy to decide which shoe was best for me. It was easy to navigate ordering the shoes. The shoes were delivered promptly. The fit is perfect, the shoes are lightweight, good arch support, look good and wonderful for my Zumba class. I have recommended Hoka Rincon3 to several of my friends.

Reliable, versatile, and light daily trainerI have been using Rincons for about 2 years now while training for several half and full marathons. This is by far my favorite shoe because it can pretty much do anything. Yes, it's fun to switch up shoes sometimes, but I always come back to this one! It's one of the lightest shoes you can get for a good price that you can take on easy, fast, short, and long runs! Get a pair!!!

Hoka ComfortI purchased a pair of Hoka Rincon 3 running shoes again as I have also a pair of Rincon 2 running shoes. Light weight and extremely comfortable. I also own a pair of Hoka Bondi 7, and a pair of Hoka Bondi 8,s. For my trail walking I own a pair of Hoka Speedgoat 5 trail shoes. After many years, and many different brands of shoes, the Hoka brand has been my absolute favorite for style and comfort. Some of the color combinations are artistically striking, even for a senior citizen like me.

SatisfiedThe shoes fit true to size. I was surprised how lightweight they were. I love the coloring of the shoe, however they lighter blue/green does show dirt easily. For every day regular use or indoor gym I think they would be fine. However, I am running outside/hiking and have had a few dirt marks.

Love the Rincon lineI feel in love with the first generation of the Rincon. This generation has a better upper and keeps the same light ride I'm looking for on my long runs and tempo runs. Tongue is the worst.Shoe is light, comfortable, and has good cushion.....then theres the tongue which digs into your foot and falls below the laces. One of the older speedgoats had the same issue. Can't run in these, can barely wear them period. Why design a tongue that is so sharp and short?!

Great tempo shoeMy shoe rotation includes 2 super Cush shoes, 2 basic, and 2 tempo. These are excellent tempo shoes, but fall just a bit short for shorter interval. Hope they end up more durable than the two's….got 100 kilometers on them so far and they show no noticeable wear and don't seem to be deadening.

Running on a cushy cloudAs a heavy (250+ lbs.) runner, I find these shoes to be an awesome combo of light-weight shoe with responsive, comfortable cushioning to help my feet and lower legs stay pain-free. Just ran my first 5k in these and I loved them. 3rd pair of HOKAs in recent years, so far, I like Rincon 3 the best. For me, I consider these to fit true-to-size. I definitely appreciate the wide (2E) option.

Works if it fitsA few years ago, I tried the Hoka Clifton and it caused a lot of pain on the outsides of my feet. Since then, I was a pretty devoted fan of Altras. Lately I've been battling some anterior tibal tendonitis, and Dr. Google recommended a rocker bottom shoe. Google also said that Rincons were good for both a rocker bottom and foot injuries. Well, let's take advantage of the great return policy and see what happens... I'm a 7 in Altra. I got a 7 wide in Rincon in case the width was the prior pain. These fit fine, but were too long. Returned them and got a 6.5 wide. These fit really good. My first run in them was a 34 mile road race. No issues at all with my feet or shins during the run. After taking my shoes off, I noticed one or two fluid-filled blisters, but I didn't feel them at all during the race. I'm pretty confident that these blisters wouldn't have been an issue if I'd had some shorter runs before hand in these shoes. Overall, I'm happy with the shoes and happy to know that I can add Hokas into my rotation in the right size.

Rincon's Are AwesomeAfter a lot of reading and watching reviews, I decided on the Rincon 3's. I was looking to replace my daily runners by another brand. I decided on Hoka as I use the Mach 4's as my race day shoes. The Rincon 3's offer a soft landing, are super light and provide nice stability in my stride. I've experienced sole hot spots with other shoes before, and these did not have that problem. I felt light and powerful and the shoe is very responsive. Would highly recommend for daily training or even for race day running.

HOKA FanIt all started last year training with the HOKA Mach 4 and New Balance Rebel v2. I underpronote, consequently, I need a wider based shoe, which the HOKA Mach 4 provided. This year I ordered another pair of Mach 4's but thought I would also try out the Rincon 3's, and wow what an amazing shoe. Lighter and more cushion and flexibility than the Mach 4 but that is to be fully expected. I use my Mach 4's for long easy runs (7-14 milers) and the Rincon 3's for speed days (3-7 mile tempo, threshold, fartlek, intervals). I had been doing half marathon races in Skechers Speed 3 but the Rincon 3 has become my #1 favorite shoe.

Hits on all marks! How does a shoe company stay competitive when all shoe companies are coming out with their version of a max-cushion shoe? Answer - The Rincon 3! Shoe hits all marks - Light, Fast, Cost effective and pillowee soft! Im ordering 4 more pair in case Hoka changes this shoe. While I only have 160+ miles in this shoe, I have spoken with a couple of friends that have exceeded 250 miles in this shoe and told me that they had no "flattening out" issues. It irritates me how in the majority of shoe reviews I have seen on this shoe, the reviewers will speak of the shoe flattening out after 200 miles however will go on to say in their own words how this is speculation. All I know right now is this is an excellent shoe on all points at 160+ miles and that two other Rincon users have had no issues and have exceeded the 250 mark.

Second PairI absolutely love my Rincons. The 3s have some advantages and disadvantages over the 1s. The tongue is nicer and the outsole is more durable. However, the pull tab is much thinner and more difficult to grab, making it almost useless. Overall, it feels a bit sturdier but still extremely light and cushy. Amazing shoe for walking/jogging a few miles on concrete and asphalt that keep my bad knee happy. I'm usually an 8 in most running shoes, but size down to a 7.5 for these.

Of course I didn't yell her what I spent. But, the price was great. Shipping was fast. Customer service was awesome. That evening she took them for a run. The wife comes back just ranting and raving about these shoes. "I don't know what kinda of technology they engineered into these shoes, but they somehow make running easier and give you like an extra boost when you're running" So yeah, these shoes are amazing and the wife is totally stoked to have them.

They asked I'm telling.Have had these for about a month. I'm not a high mileage guy yet but will be soon. Longest run I've done in these has been 6 miles. I run on pavement and the surfaces aren't always even. In fact the majority of my runs are running in the street against traffic and the roads are slightly sloped for drainage purposes. Long term effects on my body aside, my right shoe has already formed an impression to where the upper and insole are pronated towards the inside of the shoe not giving me much support. It's noticeable when I'm running on a flat surface. I've run in the clifton 6 prior to this, and brooks mostly before that and have never had this issue. I wanted a lighter shoe so I suppose that's the trade off with so much sole. On a positive note, it's a better looking shoe than the past shoes I've had(save Nike but the mileage on those aren't good, IMHO). I hope to get atleast 300 plus out of these. If so and provided no issues outside of this I think it was worth the experience to try these out.

Not a comfortable running shoeI bought a pair of black Rincons last year. That particular pair felt comfortable when I walked and run. I was a fan of the Rincon. I bought this pair which is nice color design but they feel different. Very light shoe but not comfortable when I walk. I can definetely run and not feel the discomfort. When I walk I feel that my left foot rolls inward. Didn't want to send them back because I had already send a pair back. I would continue to buy from Running Warehouse. Comments: This might be the worst tongue of any shoe I've ever worn. It doesn't even come up far enough to shield the laces from your ankle. Even in thicker winter socks, you can feel it dig into your ankle. It's got me really confused.... maybe I got an experimental prototype that wasn't supposed to get sold. No way I can run in these.
From: Anonymous. February 9th, 2022

Comments: Big nope for me. A sandal with a fake upper. Not a bright spot for HOKA, makes me wonder if the reviews on here are real.
From: Megan. downtown February 9th, 2022

Comments: This is one of the best shoes I have ever run in. I've owned two previous versions of the Rincon, but version 3 is the best edition yet. Super light and responsive. The new tongue of the shoe is perfect. I use this as my do it all shoe, though it's not marketed as a trail shoe it performs quite well in the dry desert. You can't go wrong with the Rincon 3.

Comments: Customer service was great to deal with, shipping was fast and shoes fit great. I will buy from them again
From: Donny. January 17th, 2022

Comments: Well hot dang... I honestly didn't like them at first because they required a 20-mile break-in period, but now are one of my two favorite shoes in my rotation (honestly think they take the #1 spot though). So the first impression, the tongue felt a bit rough, and the ride kinda jolty. All that went away after the first week of easy use though. Literally. No. Complaints. Nothing. I tore through the Rincon 1 exposed EVA in about 15 miles and barely got them past 100 before they went "flat" and lost all responsiveness. The 3rd iteration of the shoe is at about 40 miles so far, but hardly any damage to the EVA feels bouncy and rolls nicely at speed. As long as they hit above 200 miles without going flat, these are for sure a 5-star rating for their price and how versatile they are.

Comments: Not a big fan of the Rincon 3 right now. The paper-thin tongue sucks. I don't know why Hoka gave up the minuscule amount of tongue from the 2 for this new iteration. I have tried everything to dial into keeping the tongue pulled up but it continues to mark up and irritate the top of my foot. Hopefully, Hoka will hear enough of these types of reviews and make a change moving forward.

Comments: The Orange/Fiesta Hoka Rincon 3 is an excellent shoe and in great colors! We use the Rincon as a training shoe with fantastic cushion for hard surfaces and great durability. Unlike some shoe brands that collapse quickly, the Hoka Rincon 2 and Rincon 3 hold their cushion and remain consistent over time.

Comments: Got these and took them out the very next morning on a 17 mile run. Simply put, they felt great. They felt light on my feet but with plenty of cushioning. Has a great balance of "springiness" and softness. Since then I've taken them on all of my weekly long runs, including my recent marathon. You can do literally do anything from speed runs to marathon distance. While I may go with Mach 4s for shorter races (10 miles or less) I will easily use the Rincon 3s for everything else (including a variety of training runs). Durability, which was an issue with both the Rincon 1s and 2s seems to be solved. I have over 150 miles on these and there is virtually no difference from the first day I put them on. The only negative (and it's minor) is the little string on the back of the shoe to assist you putting them on. I tugged a bit and it snapped off (not it's just hanging on one side). It's more of just an eye sore. Anyway, this is one great shoe (probably my favorite Hoka ever) and I will likely buy another pair this Spring to keep in my rotation.

Comments: This is my second dance with the Rincon after enjoying the first version for about 150 miles and then it losing some of its shine thereafter. Hoka has claimed that they have focused more on durability with this third iteration and so far I believe them. There is more rubber on the outsole than I remember and the shoe still feels light and bouncy but doesn't seem to be wearing as rapidly (at least visibly) compared to previous iterations. I'm a bigger guy at 6'4" and 215 pounds and these shoes seem to be holding up quite well at about 50 miles. With that out of the way, I am convinced there is no better shoe for $115 before sales than this shoe. It runs true to size and has a nice feeling upper with excellent lockdown. It is awesome to run in and can reward any type of foot strike as well as the meta rocker makes the transition to toe off feel seem less and I love the energetic ride that still provides enough cushion for longer efforts. I spent a week and a half where the Rincon 3 was my only running shoe while on vacation and used it for speed work, easy days, and long runs and it was a treat to run in each time.

Comments: Great shoe! Great fit. Feels very close to the original Clifton to me! Only negative is the tongue. Hopefully with the next Rincon Hoka will bring the tongue up little bit higher!

Comments: So far I'm not that impressed with the Rincon 3. Compared to the Ricon 2, the 3 does not have the same "soft and springy" at least to me. The 3 feels more firm. Maybe it will break in after 60 miles, but now it's not exactly what I was expecting. If the shoe feels like it loses its spring after 100 miles as the 2 did, it will be the last Hoka for me. I'm 5'11 150 and run 50-60 per week.

Comments:
The foam is bouncy, neutral ride that feels stable, great rocker, and all in a light package. I had issues with version 1 because of a sloppier fitting upper that led to my toes sliding over the edge of the midsole. Version 3 seems to have a more dialed-in upper with a smoother ride than V1.

Comments: Good shoes, a little bit improved respect to the previous version 2. At last the outsole is a little much durable although still needs more rubber. Once this would be improved, it is a very good shoe. I also miss the Hoka Napali I brought several years ago price/quality was exceptional.

Comments: one of the best shoes I have ever owned. Comfort, durable, light. I hike and trail run and will wear HOKA moving forward.
From: TIM. TEXAS March 11th 2022

Comments: Heel cup is too large; ride is firmer than expected with no rebound, perhaps the shoe's performance is engineered for heavier runners; ride is especially firm on cold runs, which for reference I do not experience in Altra EGO or Sketchers Hyperburst; toe box volume is adequate but on the narrow side; midfoot volume is too large; the tongues on my pair are different lengths and are too thin and too prone to sliding; will keep for daily miles but will not purchase again. The only HOKA that has worked for me is the speedgoat. Next purchase for the rotation will be New Balance FuelCell.
