Product Details:

The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 3 is set to continue the legacy of its predecessors by delivering an unrivaled running experience on race day. The Vaporfly 3 is lighter than ever and has been refined to deliver its smoothest ride to date. Ever since its debut in 2016, ZoomX foam has been the industry leader in lightweight, soft, and ultra-resilient cushioning and it continues to do so with the Vaporfly 3. In addition to having a max stack of ZoomX, the midsole has been redesigned with a convex shape around the forefoot to deliver more stability, increased energy return, and smoother transitions. Paired with Nike's carbon-fiber Flyplate, the ZoomX foam comes to life the faster you go and allows you to effortlessly maintain pace even as the miles tick on. In the outsole, the rubber is now 2mm thinner which allows for more ZoomX foam without compromising grip and traction. Bringing this shoe together is the FlyKnit upper that is stripped down to offer the ideal race fit but still has the structure to get you through all 26.2 miles comfortably.

The best just got better with the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 3 and runners around the globe will be rejoicing as they lace up their pair and nab their new personal records.

DisappointedI have run in all versions of Vaporflys and absolutely loved them, so I ignored the negative reviews. However, this version is incredibly disappointing after a couple race pace workouts. I find the fit and cushion very comfortable, but that is not what I'm looking for in a race shoe. Performance and responsiveness is what set the Vaporfly apart from a trainer and these just don't fit the bill. If you are looking for a race shoe at this price point, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

downgradeRan in V2 and absolutely loved them. So springy and great energy return. I've had these since Christmas and finally got to race a 5k in them and they feel flat in comparison to the 2's. As someone else said, they just don't have that pop of a super shoe and therefore do not justify the price in anyway! If you want a really expensive cushioned trainer then this is your shoe!

Worst Vapors yetI like the added cushion but blisters and arch rubbing from center of shoe being slimmed down. Can not get heel to lockdown. Tighter laces cause sore tops of feet. Pros: light, cushion, fast Cons: blisters, arch rubs, no heel lockdown, toe-box sloppy

Woman in men’s shoes.Love vapor fly ‘s for marathon training and running the Chicago, NY and Boston Marathons. This third version is the best. Going to run London Marathon with them next April

longest tongue everWhat's up with the tongue in these shoes? These have to be the longest tongues I've ever seen in running shoes. They remind me of soccer shoes. I've never had this issue with another pair of running shoes. The 3rd picture on the carousel above doesn't do justice. The tongue extends at least another inch higher. If I keep these shoes, I'm going to have to cut down the tongue because a.) it looks ridiculous and b.) I don't want the tongue rubbing against my ankle as I run. Tough to justify cutting a nearly $300 pair of shoes.

BangerJust ran CIM in these and could not have asked for better performance from the shoe. Breathable upper, responsive midsole, and easy to lock in my pace. HUGE PR so all I can say is...Just Do It!!!!!

Like them alotI ran in Alphafly for the my past 2 marathons, I love them. I developed an achilles issue this year, I find the Vaporfly has a little more stability. So far I only ran a 5K and 8K. They are okay. I think the Alphafly are a little better.

Downgrade from version 2The toe box is extremely large. The shoe is very breathable and adds a little bit of support. However, the life of the shoe is gone. The version 2s had a nice spring to them, these version 3s just feel like any ordinary trainer therefore the price tag is absolutely ridiculous.

Larger toe box than vaporfly 2These run slightly larger than the previous model overall, and have a significantly larger toe box. The fabric on the inside is also not as soft as on the Vaporfly 2. All around a worse shoe than its predecessor.

Good Form RequiredThese shoes have great cushion and rebound and they certainly left out any extras in the contact surface to keep them light, which is a problem for poor form. After my first run I looked at the bottoms and saw the material scuffed off the inside area of where my heel contacts the ground. It's made of the cushion foam which is different from the thin hard rubber on the outside half of the (bottom) of the heel. I quickly learned to change my stride length and heel landing area. The tongue and lace area runs at an angle and the tongue is of a thin plastic material which is different.

Best vaporfly yetI have put 35 miles on the shoe so far (mostly fast training) and it is holding up well. I’m not sure why so many people are complaining about the durability, mine still look pristine. They feel exceptionally fast and I sustain that they feel better than the previous generation vaporflys. I let my teammate borrow them for the conference championships 5000m race and he agrees that they are much nicer than the 2s and 1s. I would highly recommend.

Marathon ShoeBought these for my upcoming marathon. Used the Vaporfly 2 and can’t wait to run in the 3’s. Ordered two sizes to try on and returned the one I did not choose. No problem with the return.

Vaporfly 3The Gen 3 Vaporfly should be one of the top choices for race day, but that’s not the case with the V3. Its cheesy outsole is just that. Cheesy. It’s thin and begin to deteriorate after 25-50 miles!! I have 6 other carbon plate shoes from NB, Saucony, Addidas and for $250 these are a joke. Will not be buying another pair.

Nike Vaporfly Next 3These shoes are well worth the money. I don’t run mileage, because I’m a sprinter, however I use these for fast tempo work and they are super fast and comfortable! Definitely get these shoes if you want to run a PB. Also the service and response times from Running Warehouse are fantastic. Very happy customer!

Were these shoes tested?I thought maybe my experience was a one off. Maybe the pair I received were defective. Then I saw the other review on this shoe from another person saying that their pair fell apart as well. Yes, thats what happened to me. at about 25 miles, I took off the shoe (and this is after running on very normal pavement conditions), and when I saw the bottom of the shoe I was shocked! Any area on the bottom of the shoe not covered by outsole rubber was coming apart. The shoe midsole and outsole (not covered by rubber) has a very thin coating of a paint/film like material over all the zoomx material. This coating is peeling off the entire bottom of my shoes. It is like skin that has been sunburned that starts to peel. You will be tempted to peel off the pieces of this coating that are hanging loose but just beware that when I did this, in several areas this coating is adhered to the zoomx foam just enough that when peeling the loose material off, it takes pieces of the midsole foam with it. A 250 dollar shoe peeling apart after 25 miles is not acceptable for any reason. Even race day only shoes cant be used on race days (more like fragile china cabinet only shoes). This is just ridiculous!

OuchThe Flyknit material is stiff and painful. The ankle came up so high that the material bruised my ankle bones. After one run I couldn't make it around the block the following day. I REALLY wanted to love these.

Fell apart!Put in about 25 total miles with this shoe. On the 10th mile of a half marathon, the heels on both shoes started to fall to pieces. I was flopping for three miles. I am usually not hard on shoes and am pretty light footed. I will not purchase another pair.

NIKE VAPORFLY 3This is the best vaporfly yet. The sole is a bit loud under the forefoot but is wonderful thru the toe off. The forefoot under the toes is a smooth sensation with no toes sinking into low lying areas as in the past. Finally the upper is easier to put on however, the front half is rather large and maybe too large for some.

the OG Super shoe first try everPro’s: I have never ran in any previous release of the vaporfly next %. I have ran in the AlphaFly Next% v1 and in terms of Nike products with zoomx material - invincible run 2 and 3, and the ZoomX streakfly are ZoomX products I have and am running in. First Impression; this shoe did not disappoint in delivering the pure ZoomX energy return and the springy feel that is completely unique to ZoomX. So if you love ZoomX, this shoe is a very welcome familiar feel. I was concerned about this as the recent experience I had with other ZoomX products like going from the Nike invincible 2 to the invincible 3 (Both shoes use pure zoomx) but to me the invincible 3 feels like a very different shoe (for the worse). So I was delighted that this shoe gave back the full ZoomX experience I love. I also welcomed Nike's choice to put the carbon plate closer to the outsole (closer to the bottom of the shoe instead of closer to the bottom of the runners foot). If I compare this shoe to the AlphaFly v1 shoe (and actually a lot of other carbon super shoes), this shoe is much more user friendly than the AlphaFly 1's were. The AlphaFly 1's were not a shoe I would choose for anything over 15 miles because I have found that carbon shoes that have the plate closer to the foot start to hurt the balls of my feet. Actually, the vaporfly 3, the NB FuelCell Elite v3, the Altra Vanish Carbon, Atreyu The Artist are pretty much the shoes I would consider user friendly. In that no matter how on point I am with my running or how sloppy especially when I get to higher miles and my form starts deteriorating the shoe still feels good. With a lot of other supershoes, if my form is not on-point all the time, I feel that the shoe starts to penalize me for not running properly. The absolute worst offender for a supershoe is the Asics Metaspeed Sky Plus. I was penalized in the form of literal foot damage because I could not maintain perfect strides in that shoe. Very much the exact opposite of the Vaporfly which performs and forgives. I was also relieved that the vaporfly 3 does not have the irritating "plop, plop, plop, ...." sound that the AlphaFly 1's did. That was the loudest shoe of any I ever ran in. I could not believe how loud and persistent the noise was. The vaporfly 3 very happily makes no more sound that the usual running noise. CON’s: 1. This shoe compared to the Nike AlphaFly 1, does not give that energy pop/boost feeling in my strides. I have not done a time trial yet in these shoes, but when I did time trials with the AlphaFly I very surprisingly did find that my times were better. I suspect that that will not be the case in this shoe (perhaps that’s the price for no “plop, plop, plop” sound. However that being said, if I had to choose between the vaporfly 3 and the AlphaFly 1 for a marathon, I would choose the vaporfly 3’s. For marathon distances, a user friendly carbon shoe is most important to me. 2. HEY NIKE, WHAT IS FLYKNIT THESE DAYS!!!! This point is just irritating, 4 years ago, flyknit across the board for nike running shoes was a stretchable, soft material that adapted great to the shape of my foot requiring zero break in and had almost a sock like feel. These days, Nike says the upper is FlyKnit for so many of their models but the feel, appearance couldn’t be more different in my opinion. For example, I just purchased Nike Invincible Run 3’s that Nike says the uppers are FlyKnit. The upper on this model is hard, has an almost plastic like coating that is course and shiny that I personally think is ugly. The vaporfly 3 Nike says the upper is also FlyKnit. Although not as course as the material on the Invincible 3’s, it feels very different. Looks different, has a much different feel than the invincible 3 flyknit and absolutely a totally different feel than the flyknit that I came to love years ago, but have not had for some time! This is irritating Nike! It also borderlines false advertising and is definitely inaccurate advertising using the same name “FlyKnit” to describe the uppers on so many of their models that look and feel very different! 3. Price – well being the supershoe OG is great, but it also sucks that this shoe is the one that skyrocketed shoe prices it seems across the board. Before the vaporfly, I remember paying a lot of money for a running shoe meant paying more than 130 to 140 dollars. When the vaporfly 1 came to market, it seems that that is the time that running shoes all around started getting stupid expensive. It was like all shoe manufacturers cought on that consumers are willing to pay 250+ dollars for supershoes and of course this also brought up the prices of all shoe underlings where once a good trainor was 110/120 dollars now they start at 140 dollars! Most shoes today are grossly overpriced. Thank goodness for sketchers and Atreyu running shoes that are two companies still holding back in participating in the “consumers-are-ok-with-being-gauged-so-lets-do-it-too” game. 4. Not a big deal, but the tongue on this shoe is very high. Definitely the highest tongue of all my running shoes. Not sure what the reason was behind this design choice. It doesn't effect my run either way, but it makes the shoe look a bit weird.
