Customer Reviews
Solid commuterTldr: It's a well cushioned trail shoe for medium to long runs. I'll probably buy again. Buy 1/2 size down
85 miles on shoes.
Pros: Fantastic upper! Great lock down means no slipping inside of shoe, plus no discomfort on my high arched feet. Lots of foam under midsole got me through a 50k this spring with no soar feet. Lugs are plenty sticky on rocks and get the job done on steep hard pack while hardly noticeable on the road when commuting to a nearby trail.
Cons: The foam already has some significant creasing, making me wonder how long they will hold up for. I was hoping these would get me through a 100k this summer but there's a good chance they won't last that long. Second, the shoes sized quite large. I have 4 other pairs of Saucony shoes and these are significantly larger than all the others despite being the same size. Ordered size 10, would go 9.5 on my next pair.
Conclusion: The comfort of the upper is what will likely get me to purchase a second pair(but maybe when the price drops a little) as I run longer distances(10-30 miles) in them. I think they may only last 300 miles though. I have not tested these in very wet conditions yet so I can't speak to that.
My new favorite shoe!Great support and cushion! I am buying a second pair today! I never thought that a trail shoe could be worn right out of the box, without having to have to break them in. Love them!
