Product Details:

Dive foot first into the soft comfort of the Saucony Ride 16. This everyday running shoe is focused on providing you with high levels of cushioning for your runs, workouts, and walks. At the core of this softness is Saucony's PWRRUN foam that not only provides cushioning but also retains a fun and lively underfoot experience. The midsole is specifically shaped to cradle your foot, creating an inherently stable ride that will keep feet and joints happy on recovery runs or long days on your feet.

Strategically placed underneath the midsole is Saucony's blown rubber outsole. This outsole is engineered to provide the best traction during runs or walks while flex grooves throughout the design offer a smooth and efficient heel-toe transition. An updated mesh upper offers a soft wrap of the foot and features additional ventilation to keep your feel cool during hot days and intense workouts. Whether you are a casual jogger or experienced marathoner, the Saucony Ride 16 is a well-cushioned partner that's perfect for tackling your daily runs and walks in soft comfort.

Narrow and firmI feel like the heel and midfoot are much narrower than the RW fit description would have you believe. I knew going into this that the midsole would be firm, but I was still surprised by just how firm it was. I’m returning them, mainly because I need a wider fit that doesn’t hurt my feet after a mile or two.

Don't Wreck a Good ThingOnce in a while, a shoe company takes a good shoe that works and destroys it. That's the Saucony Ride 16. I ran in three pairs of the Ride 15. They were the perfect shoe. The midsole of the Ride 16 is HARD. There's cushion to the shoe, but not the same give that the 15s have. Therefore, the functional run experience is completely different in a bad way: it hurts. Despite back-lacing, my heel is still slipping in the heel cup, as another reviewer mentioned. It seems that function and design-wise, Saucony looked at prior versions and said "overhaul it." The updated tongue is also awful. Aesthetically, it's ugly with a seam down the center that can be seen through the laces. Functionally, because it's more detached than prior versions, there are more opportunities for it to get folded strangely when you put the shoe on or tighten the laces. The shoe is also rounded, giving more Brooks Ghost vibes as opposed to a sportier look. Ultimately, I can barely run in these. They're uncomfortable and a complete departure from the great shoe that was the Ride 15.

comfortable and efficientI had moved away from the Ride in the past few editions, but gave this one a try again and really liked it. I would buy again and likely will.

Moving from the Ride 15 to the Ride 16In running in the Saucony Ride 15 I was expecting the 16 to be about the same. For the most part it is. It is about 4/10 of an ounce heavier than the 15. It does breath better with more ventilation of the upper the fit is the same as well as the length in my 9-1/2 shoe. The ride is smooth and comfortable running either on the road or trail. (mostly gravel). I like the color I chose.

Not as comfortable as the 15Had the 14 & 15's and absolutely loved them. Just got the 16's and they have just destroyed my feet and make finishing any run more than 5 miles absolutely painful. The hel cup seems to have less padding causing my to have to tighten the shoes up more and also they feel like they are not as wide in the toes box and my feet feel bunched up in them. Really hope they make chngaes back toward the 15's when they release a new model. These have become my walking shoes rather than running

Love this shoe!I love the ride of the Ride 16! It is just soft and cushioned enough to feel good underfoot without being sluggish. I love this earth tone color scheme so much! Sadly, I had to return it because I need a Wide. I had already sized up a half size based on othe Sauconys I have purchased. I was hoping that would fit better but my toes were still in pain. I wish they had this color in wide! The wide fits my wide feet fine. It is my go to shoe these days.(Thank you Saucony for having Wides in more than black but please , please give us more colors in wide sizes!)

Not the ride I had beforeI've had many, many versions of the Ride, which has been my go-to distance training shoe for the last 15 years. Sadly, the newer models don't do the job AT ALL - by mile 7 or 8, my feet feel totally beat up. So sad I have to find a new option.

Fit for what I needI‘ve been working out in Saucony shoes for a number of years, the Ride 16 is a new model for me. They are very stable and lightweight.

DisappointedI have tried both the Ride 15 and 16, and I do not like the updated midsole. I really like the earlier versions of the Ride, especially the 13 and 14. My biggest problem with the Ride 15 and 16 is that the shoe seems to be about 1/4 inch longer than the earlier versions. This little extra amount of length at the front of the shoe causes scraping and scuffing which prevents me from running efficiently. Another problem for me is that the Ride 16 does not feel like a neutral shoe. The midsole material causes uncomfortable pressure in my medial arch, kind of like a shoe with extra arch support. This tends to push my foot out to the lateral side. This did not happen with the midsole of the Ride 13 and 14. I am disappointed that I cannot use the Ride 16 for running.

There are better options..Really outdated midsole. These feel like two pieces of stiff and firm plastic, they get a bit softer after around 80 miles of uncomfortable running, but nothing impressive.
