Foam does not resonate with meI was expecting a lot more given the descriptions and all the positive reviews. The shoe is high quality in many respects but the foam does provide an enjoyable run for me.

Great ShoeWhat wonderful shoes. Just finished a 27.5 mile run in them and my legs and feet did not feel beat up. this was my longest run ever. Good upper fit, though the tongue could use a bit more padding. Good heel grip and wide enough in the forefoot for my somewhat narrow and low volume feet. Superb cushioning. Soft heel-strike with good rebound. Very smooth heel-strike to toe-off transition. Nice light weight for the support given. Nice complement to my Brooks Adrenalines. Biggest difference if the softer heel strike on the Tempus. About me: male, 132 pounds, heel striker, pronator, 30-50 miles per week, frequent age-group (70-75) winner.

Lightweight shoe with supportI debated purchasing this shoe due to most shoes with support are heavy. I decided to pull the trigger and try the Tempus after reading all the great reviews. I was getting ready for IM Panama City and was concerned about wearing my lighter tempo shoe with less support, being that after multiple miles the body starts to feel the impact. I debated purchasing another pair of my go to Brooks Adrenalines but didn't want the weight and stiffness. I received the Tempus and only had a few weeks to break them in before the race. The shoe fits true to size and is lightweight. Prior to the race I felt I needed more time to break them in but once I started the run leg of the Ironman, I had no issues. The shoes were comfortable, supportive and offered cushion. I didn't have any foot discomfort or any lower back pain like I've experienced during training in my other shoes. I gave this shoe a 4-star rating out of 5, due to the narrow toe box. It wasn't too narrow that it caused me issues but not as wide as my other shoes. If you are looking for a lightweight shoe for tempo or longer runs up to marathon distance and you need support, I would definitely recommend the Saucony Tempus. FYI- I'm 5'8", 150Ibs, with flat feet.

Great shoes, but W width is too wide.I wear men's 12 W or sometimes 11.5 W in all my New Balance shoes, and 12 W Hoka Bondi was not wide enough for me. So I ordered 12 W in the Tempus but it was way too wide. It seems that the 12 W in Tempus is more like a 12 4EE if they had such a thing. I reordered in 12 D and it worked fine. These shoes are light, comfortable, stable enough, have 8mm drop which I like, and feel good when picking up the pace.

Gift for my sonMy son is a 40 year runner who needs stability shoes but doesn’t enjoy the heavy, clunky feel so many of them offer. These are just the opposite and fit the bill perfectly!

A max stability shoeQuite pleasant to run in with a good fit size wise and nice upper. Lots of cushioning and a lot of support on the medical aspect of the shoe, if the Guide 15/16 is not doing it for you, then the Tempus is the one for you.

2nd PairThe Tempus is a great show for those needing additional stability support but at the same time not over doing it. Love these shoes. Great for long runs and tempo runs.

Pricey & merely okThese shoes are well made, and step-in comfort is good. I found fit and sizing to be comparable to other Saucony shoes (Ride and Triumph). As noted in other reviews, I found them to run heavier than the listed weight at anything other than recovery pace, where the ride is pleasant. Also, these tend to put my foot to sleep if tightened enough to be secure, which limits them to use as a recovery shoe rather than a long run shoe for me. Not a bad shoe, but not great, and a bit disappointing at the price.

Saucony Tempus ReviewI run for a junior college was hoping this shoe could be a solid piece for longer faster efforts. They felt supportive enough for it, just way too hard. I’m a tall runner so I knew this would take a toll on my knees over time. Would probably be better for shorter tempo runs on a smaller runner.

Ok but not worth the PriceThis is not a review like most others in that I review this shoe as a stability shoe/comparing it to other stability shoes. I am a runner that really doesn't care what the specs say the shoe is for, I just use it and listen to my body. Pros: - Pwrrun pb - I can feel the pwrrun pb material providing a bounce (at slower speeds). - The upper fits very well and the upper quality is excellent. - This seems like the construction of this shoe will easily exceed 350 miles. Cons: - Heavy Ride - I found the shoe ride to feel heavy. In fact I have ran in shoes that are actually heavier than this shoe that felt lighter on the run. Its strange for me, I felt the bounce of the pwrrun pb material the slower I ran but when I picked up the pace, the ride felt heavy on my legs. - Paint peels off - On the Saucony models that have a colored mid-sole, most of the time the color is painted on the foam instead of the color being mixed in the foam. Unfortunately, this paint is not very good quality and starts to peel off after about the 50 mile mark. Frankly, this makes the shoe look awful even if it does have another 300+ miles of use. - The Price - 160 dollars! To me, this is a 110-120 dollar shoe. I literally would pick dozens of other shoes that are cheaper and give a ride that is at least as good for under 120 dollars. If this shoe were 120 dollars, I would have gave it 4 stars.

Lightweight but a bit too much stabilityThe weight of this shoe was a nice surprise when I tried it. Unfortunately, as a runner with a relatively neutral left foot and stability-dependent right foot, this shoe was just a bit too much. It seemed to me that the mid/forefoot stability elements were pushing me out and putting too much stress on those outside toes. I did run my fastest miles in a while in these shoes though.

Found a WorkhorseThe shoe's handled every run I've thrown at it, although I'm mostly bopping around zone 2. If i need to pick up the pace, it's there. Just finished a marathon in them and not left wanting. I was the limiting factor. Not the shoe. Most importantly, I've had no injuries or concerns as I've slowly turned up the milage per week. I'm an above average runner and 195lbs. Love the fit and feel. Lock down on lock. I live in tropical weather and the shoe breathes well. Barely any wear at 150 miles. In a community that prides itself on having the right tool for the right job, there is something comforting about having only one pair of shoes in your rotation. Just grab them, lace'em up, and go. The Saucony Tempus will get you where you're going with confidence. Definitely buying these again.

Not for wide Midfooters and flat archesThe medial PwrRun foam that supports the arch rides too high and narrows the mid foot area. This would be great if you have a narrow mid foot to benefit the stability and support. However, I have a wide mid foot so I was right on top of that PwrRun foam and it was poking my arches. I switched insoles to a Powerstep pinnacle and it remedied that problem. I like the wide toe box, the light weight, and midsole bounce, but the Guide 15 is cheaper and does not need any modifications.

Pretty decent do-it-all showIt isn't the cushiest or bounciest, but for a stability shoe it is the best I've tried. This can really do it all, but is well suited for long runs and daily training. Good protection for the legs but also quite snappy and light weight. I'd recommend this especially for those looking for a wide foot option/stability shoe that is light weight and fast.

Arch too HighThe arch on this shoe was too high for my particular foot shape. Had to return. Running warehouse, however, was great and timely provided an exchange.

Tempus are greatI've been using the Tempus as a daily trainer and have very little complaints. The shoe is comfortable, breathable and bery responsive. They hasn't given me any serious problems. My only complaint is the shoe runs a bit big. I'm a size 10 in most running shoes but 9.5 in these.

Love the TempusI was disappointed to hear the Hurricane was being discontinued but the Tempus is a massive improvement over the Hurricane IMO. It's lighter, supportive and has great cushion. If you're someone that needs some support, this shoe is definitely worth a try.

Shoe of the YearThis is by far my favorite shoe of the year. The ride is snappy and plush. It gives you the gentle guidance you may need in a beautiful package. The shoe is comfortable during easy runs and very capable of picking up the pace when you need to go faster. Absolutely amazing for a stability shoe! The shoe seems to run narrow, and my mid-foot spills over the side of the shoe. My heel also has a bit of an issue 'locking down' but this is fairly common for me in running shoes unfortunately.

One of the best shoes for everythingImagine a very peppy Ride 15/Triumph baby with guidance you only notice whenever you get tired and sloppy. That's what this shoe is like. Tons of forefoot room too. From long runs to tempos this is an excellent shoe!

Great ShoeGreat shoe right out of the gate. So far I have put around 80 miles on them. I've been in Brooks Ghost, Hoka Rincons, and Nike Pegasus. The Tempus top them all. They are lighter and provider more comfort for higher miles. In all of my previous shoes my left ankle would bother me at six or more miles. I have zero pain in these shoes because of the support they offer. Price point hurts but to have a great shoe with support and comfort is worth it.

A great mix of support with a frisky ride. This shoe is a great mix of good foot protection with the thick midsole, and a nice smooth ride that feels good at a crawl or a brisk clip. The subtle support is generous in range from being suitable for neutral to mod O/P. It takes a bit to seat the foot in at first but feels great once you get going. The mid foot area might not work if you have a really wide foot and the inside of the heel could use more a bit more foam in the liner, otherwise, this is becoming a favourite in the rotation.

This was good for meI'm 5'10, 176-190 depending on training schedule. Flat narrow feet. Stability shoes have only given me problems (knees, back, etc.) After a very extensive search, I found a neutral shoe that was manageable - Hoka Carbon X series. Carbon X - ok, but the upper was not great and I found myself tying and retying my shoes throughout runs. Carbon X2 - much better in the shoe tying department- upper was better. Carbon X3 - terrible, they changed the foam and it was too squishy. I've burned through 6 pairs of Carbon X2's in the last year and half training for 3 Ironman races. I thought I was going to have to settle for sore ankles and feet for life if I wanted to keep racing. That was until I stumbled on the new Saucony Tempus. Mild stability, responsive foam sole, this shoe has been a game changer for me. I've waited to put in multiple types of runs (long, sprint, tempo) before writing this review. They have roughly 50+ miles on them and feel great. No more sore feet after I run. These things are great! I'm purchasing my second pair after I hit send b/c I like to keep a good rotation of shoes for training. If stability shoes gave you issues but neutral doesn't work, its worth giving these a spin.

Tempus is a well designed shoe. This is a great running shoe. If you loved the Hurricane, after you run in this shoe, you will forget all about it. This shoe is great for a quick paced workout or race, which still provides a soft landing and stability through the full motion. It also gives you a little push due to its responsive foam. It also helped greatly with my plantar, which is now becoming a thing of the past. Definitely would buy it again. Pair it up with the Guide 15, and you will set for many miles.

Im in love! Phenomenal shoe!I absolutely love the Tempus. I've never worn a stability shoe before, and having just leaned I tend to overpronate), I was anxious to see if I would see a difference in my foot strike and be able to get used to the extra arch support. I have a medium arch for those that want to know. I'm happy to report that after running about a mile in them, my feet got totally acclimated to the feel and by mile 3, I was in love. Went about 9-miles at a threshold pace and felt wonderful. It's soft, but not squishy, which I know I need more of since I've gotten too comfortable with my Nike Invincible Runs lol. These have an amazing lively feel to them and they're just a joy to run in. One additional thing I love is that they're slightly wider than the Speed 3, where the outside of my foot was pressed up against the side went numb, so having that extra space was very much appreciated. These are my new favorite shoes. Like them more than the Vaporfly 2, Mach 5, Novablast 2, Rebel V2, and yes, even more than my beloved Invincible Runs. And this gold colorway is absolute
