Perfect shoe for me RUNS BIGI love this shoe! However, I bought my usual size I wear in Altra and Hoka, 9.5, and found it too be too big in the toe box and heel. I was expecting sizing to be similar to my Altra torins, which have a wide toebox, however these are even wider AND longer side by side comparison with both in a 9.5. Will need to exchange for a 9, other than that perfect shoe for me. Fun and super light, can feel the ground in a really nice but protected way.

Surprising amount of cushioningI'm 5'7" and 120 lbs for reference. I was not a fan of the Specter, but need a marathon race shoe, so I tried these. I took them out for a 21 mile long run. They felt great, was able to pick up the pace mid-run. Loving the feather-light feel. I think these will be my marathon race shoes, as I am not a fan of any super shoe I've tried (I've tried them all). Lots of people say they couldn't do more than 10-13 miles in them, but they've had good cushioning and support for me.

DurabilityGreat fit and feel, likes how light it was and had good feel. But, the durability was an issue, I'm a light runner but it seems from all my shoes I put a lot of pressure on the big toe joint. These shoes were especially bad about that, the upper was showing small tears at 90ish miles. Now at 120ish miles they have completely torn. The thin rubber on the outsole did hold up well. If not for that big issue they would be great.

This is itLong story short ..i tried the phantom it was so bad like running on bricks ...as for the cyclone 2 great coushining great fit wide toe box ..I love high stack midsole ...for this one I was afraid from the ground feel ...but It didn't have much ..it has better coushining than my nb 1080 v10 ..waiting for the specter 2...other than that topo cyclone 2 now is my favorite running shoes .

Topo Cyclone 2 - Lightweight VersatilityI have been on the track, road, and well-groomed packed dirt / cinder trail with this shoe, running intervals, tempo and have also raced a 5-k over varied terrain. If you are looking for a flexible shoe with wide foot shaped toe box and high quality PEBAX midsole, this is the best option in the running shoe market. First 40 miles have exceeded my expectations. Topo has produced a winner with this model.

Love these shoes!Although I've only run 60 miles in these shoes, I'm loving them. The toe box is fantastic. The shoes are light and responsive except to the point that I don't think they're suitable for long runs, say over half marathons. Not even sure I'd run move than 10 miles in them. The outsole durability remains to be seen. The rubber on the outsole is very thin, but at least it's there. We shall see......

Lightweight and fastReally feel like I can pick up the pace in these! Ended up going 1/2 size down to get a better heel lockdown.

Best Shoe I Ever Ran inI"m a heavier runner (225 lbs) yet this low stack show was perfect. Extremely smooth and silent when running. Soft and responsive. Lightweight. Fast. Don't bottom out (but I land mid foot not on my heel so that may not be true of a heavier heel striker. Highly recommend this one.

Topo Cyclone 2This shoe was just what I had hoped for. It’s very light with a low stack height for better ground feel. I don’t do well with carbon plates so the flexibility is another plus.

Great shoe!I like ground feel and a lower stack for my daily trainers. I've been using this shoe for daily runs and have done up to 13 miles in them. The ride is amazing. You get good ground feel and good energy return. I'm between an 11 and 11.5. I got the 11.5 but would probably get 11s when I inevitably get a 2nd pair. The 11.5s will be great for the upcoming winter months with thicker socks. Love these shoes!

You don't need a plate to be a super shoe. This is one of those shoes I exclaimed, "holy cows, wow!". I haven't felt that way in a shoe for a very long time. The shoe fits well, the upper is comfortable, the turn over feels quick. It works running slow. It really pops when you pick up your cadence. Topo makes good shoes but this one is in a league of it's own and it's not just the racing foam. Topos other shoes could learn a thing or two from this one.

Great addition to my rotationJust the right amount of squish in these shoes. I rotate these with the Kinvara 13. I bought the same size as the Kinvara, these have slightly more toes space which is nice. I'm a 5'5" 165lb runner that logs about 35-45 miles a week. Typical use on these is a 6 mile day with a speed session at the end of the workout. I'm a slow runner, about 9min miles. Plan on getting another pair over the summer and using them for a half marathon. Ran a full marathon in the Kinvara and wished I would've picked these.

Good Fit - A shoe for moving fastI am a big Topo fan. The shape of their shoes fit me and I am always a 12.5 However, this model did not come in that size so I tried the 12 instead and it fit really well. So, I would say that this shoe fits a tad on the long side. I was hoping this shoe would work well for all paces but it is really suitable for faster paces. I found when running around 9 that the shoe had more of a bottoming out feel but when moving 7:30-8, I didn't experience this as much. I'm 6'1" 170 and a mid-foot striker for reference. I love the shoe's lightness and its fit, but it is not a good one for all purposes. Stick with it for fast workouts and some races and I think it will be a gem.

Phenomenal Training Shoe!I’ve taken this on short reps at mile speed, easy paced long runs, and everything in between. This shoe feels great at all speeds and has quickly become my favorite daily trainer! It’s not as “springy” as you might expect from a Pebax midsole, but it’s got a subtle bounce that still feels natural and works well with the lower stack. After 150 miles, the wear is really good - I’d expect to get at least 300 quality miles on this. While thin, the outsole is really nice! Highly recommend for someone looking for a natural ride with a bit of fun from new midsole technology. Probably most similar to the Rebel v2 but with a wider toe box and slightly less squishy midsole! Well done Topo!

Where have you been for the last 20 yrs?Phenomenal fit for my duck-like feet, w/ a cushioned - but not sloppy soft - stable feel. I’m reasonably light at ~130 lbs., but the sidewalls, saddle-like fit, and flared midsole, I’m guessing would pretty much accommodate much larger runners. They pretty much cannibalized the Rebel upper w/ the best features of the Mach 5 to make my perfect, and long-awaited, Pebax trainer - at a reasonable price, no less. My first Topo road shoe.
