Product Details:

The adidas adizero Boston 12 is a high-performance daily trainer that has been upgraded to offer a more comfortable and faster ride. The highlight of the Boston 12 is found in the midsole where we see a carefully crafted setup that increases both the shoe's softness and speed. The top layer is made of Lightstrike Pro, which is the brand's lightest and softest foam, while the frame is made of the slightly denser Lightstrike 2.0 foam that helps to maintain a stable and smooth ride at any speed. Sandwiched between the two layers is the ENERGYRODS 2.0 system, which comprises split rods that provide a snappy and energetic toe-off while allowing for flexible foot movement.

The outsole of the Boston 12 is equipped with strategically placed layers of lightweight Continental rubber that provide reliable traction in any weather condition, and in the upper, an ultra-lightweight recycled mesh provides the structure needed for longer efforts while remaining highly breathable to keep your feet comfortable with every mile.

Overall, the adidas adizero Boston 12 delivers a highly responsive and energetic ride that works well for both uptempo training and daily runs. With its comfortable and fast ride, this shoe is an excellent choice for anyone looking to take their running to the next level.

Finally, AdidasAt long last, Adidas realized their Boston previous revamp was failure... I loved the pre-10 Bostons, but so far (2 long runs and a couple of shorter ones) I like the 12s better. Feels like a big more cushion, while feeling firm and responsive, and the fit from heel to toe is great.

I see why there’s so much hypeI finally bought the Boston 12 when this color went on sale. Everyone kept telling me they were great and I kept seeing all it over the Internet. I was skeptical, but I love these shoes. I run about 35 miles per week right now and these are the ones I want to reach for no matter what run I am doing. My longest run in them has been 15 miles. They are snappy but cushioned somehow and my feet haven’t felt tired in them yet.

Best shoes I've hadI've only owned Hoka clifton and Brooks ghost so my range is rather mediocre, but I'd definitely spring for these over the other two

Patience Pays OffI've been waiting for Adidas to produce a legit daily trainer since the days of the Energy Boost 2 and the Boston 6. Finally my patience pays off with the Boston 12. I've put 400 miles on the first pair and they are holding up well so I've bought another pair. From long slower runs to fast tempos, this shoe works incredibly well. Adidas please don't change anything because I'm running out of money to pay for your failures. lol

Toes boxI usually wear size 10.5 but because of the wide toes box, I swapped them for a size 10. The plastic shoelaces eyelets made a blister on the left side of my small toe. I add a medical tape over that plastic. Now I enjoy a lot this shoes my knees and legs feel good for longs runs. I average 60-70 miles a week.

Very Good but could be betterI heard great things about this shoe, that it was excellent for tempos and longer runs. I’ve run over 50 miles in the Boston 12s and really enjoyed my runs in them so far. They are firm, but responsive. I want to rate them higher, but the quality of the upper is a big negative for me. They are by far the worst uppers I have in my rotation of shoes. The uppers are not soft, and they crease by the big toe joint which has caused minor rubbing on both of my big toes. I need to use a band aid on both toes to prevent the rubbing. The other issue is the tongue. Adidas chose to use a minor amount of padding in the center of the tongue. I’m not sure if it was to reduce weight or cost, but it’s another feature that needs improvement.

Huge ImprovementI grabbed a pair of Boston 11 on sale last year thinking they couldn’t be as bad as everyone said. I was immediately appalled by how stiff, blocky, heavy, and unstable they were. They were not welcoming to put on. Even the laces hurt. I wore them casually for a few weeks and they softened up some but never enough to be very useful as an Adios Pro training companion. It felt every time like spraining an ankle in extreme slow motion just to walk around in them. The Boston 12 is excellent in every way the previous version was not. The upper is pliable and less fussy. The Lightstrike Pro foam is softer to the touch and the Lightstrike 2.0 carrier is lighter and more forgiving. The wider platform makes it more stable and less like standing on narrow wooden blocks. The lacing system seems to solve the usual adizero lace bite problem. In sum, it feels like a trainer version of the Adios Pro 3.

Fast shoe, solid remodel!Awesome over the 11. Fast, as fast as you want to go. Felt great a 5:30's and 9:30's. Broke in on 1st run, not 50th. Sides will not bust with this upper. Go for it if on the fence, great shoe!

My marathon shoeI am a slower runner. I did a few long runs in the Boston 12s with some tempo and I am decided that these will be my marathon shoe. First, they are very comfortable. Second, I noticed my legs recover much faster after the runs. Last time I did 18 miles mostly slow and some added tempo miles and the shoes felt so good.

Great tempo shoeVery nice shoe! Didn’t try last few versions; but had ones with boost a few years back. I got adios pro 3 and love it but wanted a trainer that cost less to go with it. This is great companion . not the best for super easy days but can make it work for anything; better for slightly up tempo training and it has just enough cushioning for me to run up to 8-10 miles and cruise at 7 to 8 min mile paces. Great outsole stable and supportive and grip is superb. The upper is great for wet or heavy sweating as mesh is breathable and not too absorbing a material. Wide enough for most wide feet runners ; I have to cinch down the laces a fair bit and I have a narrow heel and wider forefoot and it has worked for me so far.

Great update to Boston series! by A LOT!The Boston 8 had best upper and fit. Good cushion in boost But the boost was heavy, the drop was too high at 10mm. The Boston 12 on the other hand is my current favorite daily trainer , roads and trails. Great versatility for fast speed work and long trail runs in the mountains. Did a trail 50k in them and they were sturdy and performed well except on excessive downhills (would have liked more padding/width in the heel , the light strike 2.0 base layer and heel area is way softer than the brick Boston 11’s in a good way. The upper is typical no nonsense , good fit overall with ample toe room and narrow heel. But not the most comfortable. A little plasticky. Love the lightstrike pro in forefoot and slight heel area. Springy , cushy and responsive. smooth ride when you land mid foot to forefoot . My only gripe is shoe lace area. That’s where it’s an issue to get a great lockdown. Also think that adidas should go to an all lightstrike pro mid-sole and widen the heel area a little more. For a less harsh and more comfortable landing for heel strikers and better for run long distances, especially long downhills. the 6mm drop is perfect! Make a trail traction to go with these and we have a great road to trail option. Great work Adidas! Hallelujah!

Ultimate super shoeWhen i first got them i took them on a 9mi run, and they felt awesome. The shoe responds so well as you put more power into it and is as good as any race shoe imo. The only thing is the lacing which you just need to double knot them to secure them. I wish adidas would do better in the lacing department. The upper has been called corse but i find it great. Seriously only shoe you need to own.

Softer but still firmNoticeably lighter and softer than the 11s, but still pretty firm out of the box. Waiting to see if the new version of Lightstrike softens up a bit. Reworked upper is more comfortable than 11, but the new lacing is not as intuitive.

Big improvement over the 10 & 11Got these shoes last week and have a couple runs in them, and wow, they are so much better than the prior 2 versions. From the upper to to the midsole and outsole, all are improvements. Slightly wider in the toe box, thin tongue but does stay in place for a solid lockdown. The lightstrike 2.0 is definitely much softer than regular lightstrike. The outsole grips great and the rubber tends to be a bit thinner than the last version. For my men's size 12 this clocks in around 10.8 ounces with is well over an ounce lighter than the 11. The ride is much better and comfort level much better. Great training partner to the Adios Pro and good to take on longer runs.
