So unstableMach 5 was perfect. This shoe is very unstable. Very narrow ground contact. Like walking on a tight rope. These are going to mess up a lot of lower legs.

Roomy and comfortable but could use more pepVery comfortable and love the wide toe box (but reasonably narrow heel), so a great fit. Wish they were a bit less cushioned/ plush.

Hoka Mach 6The Mach 6 is a versatile light weight uptempo daily trainer: daily miles, tempo, long run. It is a do-it-all shoe. I like the fit of the upper on the Mach 6 and the soft and bouncy midsole. I just ordered my 4th pair from RW. I've been able to get 400 miles in each pair.

No nonsense, gets the job doneGreat shoe. Very simple, no frills. Fit is true to size. I find the toe box normal width for my normal width feet and have not had issues on runs up to 16 miles. Enough cushion for any type of run. I use them for everything from threshold to recovery runs to long runs. They can do it all. Foam is responsive and resilient if somewhat lacking compared to race-day foams. These do not pop or bounce like plated options, but they are also cheaper and still get the job done. Definitely light weight for a daily trainer. I have taken two pairs to 500 miles with minimal degradation to the foam. The outsole coverage is good and holds up fine to 500 miles (I start to get some wear through to the foam right at the ball of my foot where I push off) Overall this is a solid shoe that could be considered a budget friendly option when everything else seems to be edging closer and closer to $200.

Use for speed workoutsUsed these for a 10k and 5k race. I liked how they were firmer, as advertised. Going to use them speed workouts for my next marathon. I have ran a 2:40 marathon and plan to use these for the speed workouts.

LightweightI normally train in Hoka Bondi 9's which is a plush and heavy shoe. I bought the Mach 6's to be lighter on race day and they are considerably lighter. I finished one second off my 5K PR in May 2025. My training was key but the shoe made a difference...I can literally feel it. I have a wide foot so its nice to have a 2E size in a lightweight shoe.

Too narrow, too badI was really hoping these would work for me, but the last just isn't the right shape for my foot. I loved the responsiveness of the foam and thought they'd be a really fun shoe for tempo runs and speed workouts. The forefoot just tapers in too quickly for it to be comfortable for me. I tried both the women's wide and the men's wide as a last resort, but neither worked for me. For reference, I usually do well with a Brooks Glycerin in a D width, and the NB 880s in D also fit my forefoot well.

PerfectI liked the 5 even though it only lasted about 200 miles for me. The 6 is PERFECT. The only bad things I can say are that the toe box is a little narrow and the heel is a little wide, but for me that's every Hoka I've tried. I already have 2 pairs and will keep stocking up!

Mach 6 for soft surfacesthis is a great shoe that offers support as well as cushion and is good for short to long distance training runs. The heel however seems to prematurely wear down especially hard surfaces and recommend wearing on dirt trails or for track workouts !
