Lean and meanDuring the majority of 2025 I struggled with a foot/ankle injury that seemed to get aggravated through most neutral shoes. While the Nitro 4 is still neutral, it is so lean that it reminds me of the way shoes used to be made, with minimal material and no plate. I enjoy the shoe and have especially noticed that the rubber and traction have provided exceptional grip.

Nice shoe. Great feel. For neutral runners. The midsole is plush and responsive (modern miracle) and this shoe handles lots of different runs and paces really well. This is a very flexible shoe and there are no stability elements or features. If you pronate or supinate, this shoe won't fight it. For neutral runners it's a great shoe. Works well on paths with the exceptional outsole but not on trails--too high and unstable.

DisappointingWay too stiff, not very comfortable, and my heel felt like it wanted to pop out just during walking, and the heel to toe offset (drop) did not feel like a 10 mm drop at all, it felt like much less than 10 mm. I have 9 mm drop shoes ("On" brand) to compare the Pumas to, so I put a 9 mm drop On sneaker on my left and a Puma on the right, and the Pumas felt more like a 6 to 8 mm drop as compared to the On sneakers...returning the Pumas

So goodAnother killer shoe by Puma. The supercritical midsole is plush and pillowy for recovery runs, but responsive and fun when you pick up the pace. I love the traditional 10mm drop and outsole grip is sticky. The upper is soft and breathable, but it is one of the narrower shoes I own, so look out for that if you have wife feet. Fit is TTS for me. Good all around !

The shoe to get this yearHaving 20 miles in mine so far I can say this is the shoe to get for any runner. It's responsive, bouncy, light and you forget you have them on your feet as you run. Puma is knocking it out of the park this year.
