Comments: I found this to be a great light weight protective trail shoe! I have a neutral, D width foot and train almost exclusively on technical trails. I run 60 to 80 miles per week and race distance from 10 to 50 miles.

Comments: I've been running in these shoes off and on road for about 2 months for a total of about 200 miles. I've also completed an off road 50k. These shoes have been fantastic. Like other runners have commented, my feet took some time to get use to them, but now I have no issues. The traction is adequate on wet rocks and roots, though it could be slightly better. The fit is near perfect. Large toe box and no hotspots from seams, etc. I'd highly recommend this shoe and will likely buy another pair.

Comments: I really like these shoes and use them for my trail runs. Most of the trails I run are packed dirt and gravel, so I haven't experienced any slippage on wet rocks yet.
I'm still trying to understand what Asics is thinking with these "drainage holes". My road shoe is the Hyperspeed 5, which also have the "drainage holes". First, the holes pickup small rocks that I need to either kick out or stop to pluck out. Second, the holes let water in (damp grass?) far more often than I need them to let water out, so this design "feature" is really a design "flaw", in my opinion. However, I've solved that problem by filling the holes with silicon caulking that I had left over from a recent kitchen project. Now I REALLY like the shoes. :)

Comments: got this shoe to work with my saucony peregrines. Liked the look of the shoe since they had more mesh than the saucony and a little greater heel toe drop. I have ran both on the road and on trails. Does well on the road and with the tread on the forefoot almost feels like you are being propelled forward. Nice shoe on the trail As well. Good traction over all surfaces including wooden bridges. Would like a little more protection on rocky surfaces. Also I think it runs about a 1/2 size small. You will start to notice that on longer runs and on recents. Overall really nice shoe.

Comments: I've been running in these for about two months now--wear them for about half or 2/3 of my runs. I like them quite a bit. Plenty of cushioning, but not so much as to make them uncontrollable or feeling 'soft.' They work well on the trails and on the roads for some distance, too. I would buy a second pair--which is rare for me with any shoe. Not much pronation control, but there is a bit of support due to the softness of the shoe. (I usually need a little more pronation control, but these work for me.) They aren't overbuilt like many Asics shoes or sort of flat and goofy like the new ASICS shoes feel like to me. They are just a good, well designed shoe. I would highly recommend them. I think that they are one of the better shoes out there for all sorts of surfaces combined.

Comments: There is a lot to love about these shoes. Fit is awesome - snug and secure but night binding. Low profile, light weight and flexibility make it feel almost like a road racing flat, but there is still enough stability and protection. Just finished a trail marathon on a course covered in large sharp rocks with no problems. Two areas it can be improved are wet traction and the drainage holes that go through the outsoles. I slipped several times on wet rocks, and every time I stepped in even the shallowest puddle, ice cold water flooded up into the shoe. Compared to the overall great characteristics of this shoe, those two negatives were minor. I will definitely buy these shoes again.

Comments: Had no idea what to expect from these shoes. I have always been a loyal Adidas customer. I was looking for a light trail shoe with high performance. From the moment I put these shoes on I knew that I had made a good choice. So far I have completed 3 trail runs in the Fuji Racer. 2 easy runs and 1 speed work. My 3 best trail runs ever. I love these shoes, they are light and I am able to feel the ground with every step.
