Product Details:

The ASICS METASPEED Edge Paris is a fast and efficient racing shoe designed to help athletes reach a new personal best in road races, especially the half and full marathon. The Edge Paris is specifically engineered for cadence runners by directing the energy return in a forward direction to facilitate faster leg turnover.

In the midsole, the shoe features FF TURBO PLUS foam which delivers an ultra-responsive and highly cushioned ride to help runners effortlessly fly by their competitors. To maximize the responsiveness further, the positioning of the carbon fiber plate is angled to increase propulsion and increase stride cadence to make running fast feel easy.

The shoe's outsole is composed of a durable ASICSGRIP rubber that ensures traction through all road conditions, and a new MOTION WRAP 2.0 upper completes the ASICS METASPEED Edge Paris with a race-ready fit and breathable finish that not only reduces weight but secures the foot firmly on the shoe's platform. Overall, the ASICS METASPEED Sky Edge is an excellent option for cadence runners looking to maximize their performance in long-distance races.

Current favoriteI love these shoes. They feel so nice on my feet and provide a very smooth ride when running. They work for speed work, 5ks, half training, marathon training. All around a great shoe. I ordered a half size up (over my usual one size above regular shoes).

Great shoe but not for meI went for a run as soon as I received these beasts. Great upper and fit (I bought 1/2 size up). I made 18kms treadmill. The first Where moderate and speed up the last 8. They Where very responsive but as a Vaporfly and Adizero pro 4 user I found these really hard on my feet,,really stiff. My guess is that running 21k or more would bring pain afterwards. It was not easy to make my mind between de edge and sky model. I guess I made the wrong choice. I will switch and try Sky instead

The BEST Race Day Shoe!First of all, you must have a club-foot if you think these are narrow. I were wide race shoes and these Asics MetaSpeed Edge Paris fit beautifully with plenty of toe box area. I usually wear a mens 9.5 and sized up to 10. Not unusual to size up, I do the same in Saucony Pro 4 and Saucony Pro 3. Nike VaporFly are like a straight jacket on my feet... way narrow! How someone thinks these are more narrow the the Vapor Fly must have some balloon toes.. T am a 61 year old 5k racer and these shoes are my PR shoes at 20:36. Cannot say enough good things about these shoes!

Best Supershoe Ever…so far.I am a male, 145lb with an average cadence of 175-180, and relatively flat feet. This shoe is incredible. It doesn’t feel outrageous (outside of how light it is), and is very comfortable. They feel so natural that I could go on 9 min/mi recovery pace, and then rip some track repeats with no problems. To me, they aren’t incredibly bouncy, but instead has the perfect balance of bounce and cushion. Did a 22 mile peak workout in them, and I know they can go the full 26.2 distance with no issues outside of my own aerobic capabilities.

Fast and LightMy go-to racing shoe. I've used the Metaspeed + previous to this version. This does feel very light and the foam feels very cushioned. I learned my lesson. As a female with wider feet, I thought my normal shoe size would work, but I discovered for gender neutral shoes, I still need to size up. Still had a good heel lock in the half size larger and my toes had significantly more room to splay. Will continue to buy again.

Great shoe with some caveatsJust raced Bay State marathon in these. I originally ordered a 9.5, my usual size from Asics, but had to return for a 10. I do think they run a bit short and narrower than other shoes from the brand. I run in a custom orthotic so that impacts things, and I have a narrow heel and normal-ish forefoot. The laces are great, they do. no. budge. But to get the heel to really lock in with a runner's knot, I had to skip one of the holes by my toes. Overall this is a great shoe - bouncy and poppy, with enough cushion to handle 26.2. I tried both the Edge and the Sky and preferred the Edge at marathon pace. I'm also a heel striker so the extra foam between the plate and my foot felt nicer.

Metaspeed EdgeI'm a pretty average runner who purchased these prior to running my fourth marathon. I've raced in Vapor Flys in the past. Like others have mentioned, I was surprised by how light they are and was super excited to try them. I think it's a good looking shoe and like the colors. The toe is a bit more rounded than Nikes but the shoe fits on the small size and I was tempted to return for a half size bigger. I ended up keeping my usual size and took them out for an 18 mile trial. It ended up being the best run of my training cycle. The shoe does take a little getting used to but I loved how it felt firm under foot and really let me push off the ground more easily. I will say, the following day I had some serious foot pain. My left first toe and the ball of my foot felt super sore and I wondered if it was due to the shape of the carbon plate and maybe the shoes being a tiny bit too small for me. Because of the foot pain I waited about a week before wearing them again and did a much shorter run this time. I have to say, they felt completely different. Still bouncy but not nearly as firm as before and they didn't hurt my feet at all. I ended up running the Chicago Marathon in them and have no regrets. Post marathon I had very little foot pain (much less than when I wear my Nikes) and I even managed to keep all my toenails this training cycle! Moving forward, I think this will continue to be my race day shoe. It's probably too fast for me but I love how light-weight it is. The roomier toe and wider foot feels more stable than my Vapor Flys and in the end, they ended up being much more comfortable too. I recommend giving them a shot if you're a Nike fan. These shoes were a really pleasant surprise.

Outstanding shoes.Guaranteed to gain with these shoes. Immediately you can feel the rocker and when running it is that much easier at the same effort to go 10-12"/mile faster. And the faster you go the more time you seem to have off. I time trial the exact same three mile course in Brooks Ghost (great shoes also) and then immediately changes shoes and the same course at the same stride and heart rate was :47" faster overall. I know thats not scientific but backyard science. They work and are worth it to me.

Wanted to love these! As a cadence runner, I was so excited when the Asics Metaspeed Edge came out. I've raced 5 marathons in the original Edge and love how fast and light they are. So when I saw the reviews of the Edge Paris, I really wanted to love these and fill the gap in my marathon race shoe lineup. Unfortunately when I tried on 2 different sizes (the size of my original Edge and 1/2 size up) the arch on my right foot didn't feel right. I don't know if it is peculiar to my feet or if others have the same issue. Had same problem with the Saucony endorphin speeds, but not the elites.

Too narrow and softNoticeably narrower than the Adios Pro and Vaporfly I also run in. So narrow that it feels like half my arch is hanging off the shoe. It wallows down in the heel if I miss a stride so about 5% of my steps feel like the shoe just collapses. I love my other Asics and had high hopes but this shoe didn't do it.

Good for high level runnersAs intended, the primary purpose is a quality competition shoe. They have a strong propelling force. My experience is the propelling design doesn't kick unless you are moving pretty fast. So I have also worn for tempo and intervals training. I am not definitively a cadence versus a stride type runner so I am curious about whether the Paris Sky version for stride runners would be a better match for me so I may try them out also. Fits as sized.

Race Day Shoes Worth the HypeLight and fast! These shoes feel like a PR is about to happen in them. Feels like you have an extra bounce with the shoe and also allows it to feel very responsive to the ground. I would highly recommend them for an upcoming half or full marathon.

SpeedyA nice speedy racing shoe doesn’t necessarily feel the fastest giving bounce, but you definitely see it in your paces. Mix between alphafly and vaporfly

Wow - this shoes are fun and fastThis shoes are supposed to be for fast runners. I’m old and slow (66 and 10 - 11 minute miles). I love these shoes. I beat my PB’s for 2023 and 2024 with them. As soon as you start jogging, you feel racy. An hour later, the shoes are still urging me to keep going. I don’t care if they will wear out in ~240 miles, it will be a fun 240 miles.

Great for half marathon and shorter distancesThe ASICS Metaspeed Edge Paris feels solid at faster paces (~8:00 min/mi), offering good control and responsiveness, but struggles at slower speeds (9:00-10:00 min/mi), where it feels sluggish. I also noticed some pronation during toe-off, which could lead to fatigue over long distances. My left toes felt cramped, likely due to compressed foam under the forefoot. The ride wasn’t as smooth as other plated shoes like the Saucony Endorphin Speed or Pro. While it’s stable for tempo runs, I’d recommend the Metaspeed Sky for better cushioning and long-distance comfort. Pros: • Responsive at fast paces • Stable for speed work Cons: • Uncomfortable at slower paces • Pronation at toe-off • Cramped forefoot Verdict: Great for fast runs, but lacks comfort for longer efforts.

Light light racing shoeI really like this shoe for fast speed workouts and racing. It’s an awesome shoe for both. I really enjoy running in it mainly due to the light weight of the shoe. For sure the lightest running shoe I’ve purchased in the last 4 or 5 years. I did give it a 5 star but the only issue I have with it I really don’t feel that much of a bounce or rebound from this shoe. However it does make me run somewhat faster with my interval workouts and race times. So I guess the lack of the bounce feeling is not a deal breaker, it’s still a great race day shoe for about any race distance.

Love the Edge ParisVery fast, light and bouncy. Definitely a bit weird at slow speeds but that's expected and also for this money I will only use them for races and key workouts. I like them better than my Vaporfly 3s even. I bought the Edge Paris and Sky Paris and ended up liking the Edge better.

AmazingRan a full marathon the day after getting back from a 2 week long trip. Hadn’t even tried these puppies on because the flights got delayed. When the box got here I thought there was only one shoe because of light the box was. Put them on the first time 3 hours before the race and ran a 4:20. No blisters, no foot cramps, they breathe beautifully and the plate has a ton of bounce. Cherry on top was when I saw everyone in the olympic events winning in them. USA baby!
