Product Details:
The Altra Superior 7 stands out by not standing tall. In a world of over-stacked and over-complicated offerings, are you craving a simple, free, and connected-to-the-ground experience? If so, this slim trail running shoe responds with calm confidence.
Allowing you to tell what the ground is doing under your foot, its reasonably thin layer of EVA foam provides just enough protection for weekly offroad miles. Its zero drop cushioning allows your lower leg to be in its natural alignment. With a new groove pattern to further enhance the foam's flexibility, your feet will find this trail slipper's supple adaptability to be... well, superior.
For enhanced grip, this lightweight trail shoe's MaxTrac rubber outsole features updated lug shapes and placement. And for refined comfort, the Standard FootShape upper offers a new tongue construction. A ghillie lace loop addition creates a better fit, allowing for more midfoot volume. Lastly, textured TPU overlays and a protective netting finish add durability and defense to the upper fabric for your peace of mind.

Technologies
MIDSOLE
- EVA foam provides a thin and balanced layer of cushioning to shield your feet while allowing them to experience the uneven trail surface. Purposefully, there's no rock plate to interfere with the flexible, adaptable, and natural experience.
OUTSOLE
- MaxTrac rubber features updated lug shapes in a revised pattern for enhanced grip.
UPPER
- Mesh fabric includes textured TPU overlays for toe cap structure, as well as a protective netting surface along the quarter panels.
- Ghillie lace loop addition creates a better fit by allowing for increased foot volume and/or a snug lockdown cinch.
- GaiterTrap heel tab provides a hook-and-loop attachment point to secure optional trail gaiters (not included), as extra prevention against debris building up inside the shoe.
- Standard FootShape Fit is Altra's most common, right in the middle of Original and Slim. It provides your forefoot the space for its natural alignment, allowing your foot to act as a strong stable foundation.
