Overview

The Coros Pace 2 Premium GPS Sport Watch Nylon Band continues to offer a feature-rich option for the runner or triathlete who wants to record their workouts, and this second edition now comes with a ton of exciting new features, including built-in running power to keep track of your efforts. Compared to the first version, the Pace 2 is 40% lighter, with a 20% boost in battery life, 4x the storage, and easier navigation thanks to the refined external buttons.

Previously only available with additional accessories or on high-end GPS watches, the built-in power metrics allow for a better way to train that monitors your overall effort output during and after each workout. Offering one of the best battery lives in its class, the Pace 2 provides 30 hours in GPS mode, making it ideal for ultra racing, track athletes, and triathlon training. This watch is quick to connect for your outdoor runs thanks to GPS, GLONASS, and BDS satellites, while movement sensors in the watch are also able to accurately monitor your indoor training.

Workout features for the track include interval training, cadence, stride length, a metronome, auto lap, and more. If you want to head out into the mountains for your long run instead, then its barometric altimeter and movement sensors accurately track your elevation and location data. When your run is finished, uploading your workout to the mobile app or Strava is lightning fast with UltraSync Technology where you can further analyze your training data.

Garmin KillerThis watch is small, light, does more than the equivalent Garmin model (barometric altitude, temperature, running power, battery life) for less money! I don't like wearing watches for comfort reasons but I've worn this one for days at a time with no problem. Sport wise, I've used it for running, cycling, and walking. I especially like that it acquires satellite signal very fast with no prolonged waiting. The scroll button, once you learned to use, is another favorite feature. One more thing, this watch can broadcast HR signal to other devices, which is quite handy and I now am looking to sell my Polar OH1+.

Great Running WatchI've had the Coros Pace 2 for four weeks. It has resurrected my interest in running. I ran 12 miles today, the furthest I've run in 20 years. It was the watch and the Coros eco-system (smart phone app and the web based app) that motivated me to get up off my butt. Their online support is excellent. If you're looking for a great running watch look no further.

Comments: I got the Coros Pace 2 in black with Nylon strap about one month ago. I was looking to upgrade from my old FitBit Versa and honestly overwhelmed with the number of options out there. While I debated the Apple Watch SE, I ultimately decided I didn't need all the "smartwatch" features and flair. The Pace 2 had great reviews on Youtube (go check those out, shoutout to DC Rainmaker) and seemed to be a good fit for me as a runner/ swimmer/ casual triathlete. The watch looks nice and the app works well, I like being able to access so much more data and customize what I see on my workouts. Please note that it is not a touchscreen. Overall, I recommend for someone like me trying to stay around $200 or less.
