Stability Level

  • Neutral

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

How We Measure Our Shoe Specs

  • We measure every shoe in-house to provide accurate and consistent details.

  • Weight

The weight is based on a Men's size 9 for Men's and Unisex shoes or Women's size 8 for Women's shoes. The weight listed is for a single shoe, including the laces.

  • Heel Stack

The heel stack refers to how high your heel sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Forefoot Stack

Forefoot stack refers to how high the ball of the foot sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Heel-toe Offset

Heel-toe offset (drop) is the difference in height between the heel stack and the forefoot stack. We use the number given to us by the brand.

How We Measure Shoe Fit

  • All measurements are based on Medium width.

  • Fit (width) options are Narrow - Snug - Average - Roomy - Wide.

  • Sizing (length) options are Short - True - Long. Note: fit is relative to the "average" running shoe.

  • We partner with SmartLast, a program by Heeluxe, to use advanced shoe-measuring technology, to provide objective measurements for toe box, midfoot, and heel widths as well as overall length.

Great semi rugged distance trail shoeI love the Stinson. If you’re doing super steep narrow rugged trails, this is not your shoe. However in every other circumstance it’s fantastic. It’s my choice for really long off pavement running. It stays comfortable and for a well padded shoe is really good in medium rugged ultra type conditions. Fantastic long trainer. I have a wide toe box and these are great. If you have a narrow foot these are not your shoe. I run winter ultras and screw sheet metal screws on the bottom for extra grip. One of my best results was an 80 miler on ice. After, I took the screws out and they still ran well and held together. These are decent on gravel too.

Great shoe for what I needI bought these shoes for 3-4 mile walks on local open-space fire roads and trails. They handle steep hills, mild mud, and dry loose conditions well...providing just the needed extra traction I need. They're also great just walking the dogs on neighborhood streets. Being Hokas they are super comfortable and supportive. Absolutely recommend. I did have to order 1/2 size up. Hokas run a tad small for me.

I really wanted these to fit my feet.I loved everything about this shoe. The stability, the toe box, the traction, the upper. However, after a short run to cause extreme pain across the laces. I stopped to adjust the laces several times but I couldn’t get them to work. I had to lock them down tighter than I would have liked from heel slippage, but even after loosening them to where my heel was slipping with every step they still hurt. I am giving these 4 stars because I think they are great shoes, I just don’t think they are great shoes for me. My friend has a pair and he absolutely loves them. I won’t be getting another pair of these, but I would still recommend them to others.

Big boysOverall great shoe but a few gripes. Got a blister on a big toe, but I didn't make a great sock choice that day. Took a few runs for them to "break in" and the foam to soften up a bit. Definitely not meant for blasting technical trails with how wide they are underfoot and the high stack height, but a great dirt road and mild singletrack shoe.

Hoka Stinson 7These shoes are fantastic. I have arthritis in both feet as well as flat feet. The Stinsons are the only shoes that give me the cushion as well as support I need. I'll be getting another pair. Highly recommend them.
