All Men's Road Shoes

  • Daily TrainersDaily Trainers

The baseline definition of a running shoe. Daily Trainers lean on time-proven designs, technologies and features for dependable cushioning, support and comfort. They're a staple in every runner's closet, and if you are new to running shoes, then you should start your journey here.

  • Performance TrainersPerformance Trainers

Performance Trainers provide a springy feel and make longer runs easier and faster runs faster. While quicker than Daily Trainers, Performance Trainers are not nearly as fast as Super Shoes. Due to a focus on keeping things light weight, Performance Trainers are less durable than Daily Trainers. These can also be a good option for one's first race shoe.

  • Super ShoesSuper Shoes

Super Shoes are the fastest running shoes you can buy. They are designed to race your absolute best and represent the pinnacle of running shoe technology and innovation. They have the highest energy return foams and plates for new levels of performance. Low durability, but maximum speed is the name of the game here.

  • Soft & Muddy TrailsSoft & Muddy Trails

Cushioning Level

  • Cushioning level, or stack height, refers to how much shoe is between your foot and the ground. For this category, we reference the amount of cushioning below the forefoot as the heel height will be equal to or greater than the forefoot height.
Learn more about stack heights and how we measure them.

  • Barefoot

0-13mm. The Shoe generally does not have a midsole and feels like there is no cushioning. This shoe is all about feeling the ground underfoot.

  • Minimal

14-18mm. The shoe has a thin midsole that allows for a natural running experience. Racing shoes and minimalist shoes are common here. These shoes offer a feeling of being connected to the road or trail.

  • Low

19-23mm. The shoe has a slightly cushioned feel and may feature added cushioning technologies. Performance training shoes and some trail shoes are common here. These offer protection during footstrike but prioritize a lightweight, grounded experience.

  • Medium

24-28mm. These shoes have a stack height that fall near the middle of the spectrum. The shoes in this category are verstaile and great for all types of runs and distances.

  • High

29-34mm. The shoe has a thick midsole and ample cushioning. These shoes are highly protective and absorb more impact than the body.

  • Maximal

35mm plus. The shoe has an extremely thick midsole and extra cushioning. The focus is on protection and soft foam underfoot with hardly any ground feel.

Stability Level

  • Neutral Running Shoes

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

Rotation shoeThe 1080 has been a rotation shoe for me between running in the NB Rebel. I enjoy the bouncy cushioned feel with these in distances 5K through 10 miles. All season runs with no issues of wear or comfort. I have several months with mine and around 150 miles so far. Great shoe for me. Mike Northwest GA

Nice cush!I have been wearing the 1080 v 13 for a year now. Great cushion and light. New balance tends to run smaller so I tried a size up. Too big so I have to wear-in my regular size but other than that, love them!

Great Supportive Shoes!I’ve been a New Balance 1080 fan for years now. I’ve tried other brands and styles, but I always come back to my favorite brand and style. These new “Fresh Foam” shoes won’t disappoint. They are well made, amazingly comfortable, and will provide you with the support you need for many, many miles and hours per day on your feet. I usually buy two pairs at a time, in different colors, and rotate them. I’m sold on these shoes and I hope I’ve talked you into them too!

Perfect Daily TrainersThese shoes are comfortable and responsive at the same time. There are the perfect fit for my slightly wide forefoot (bunions) and narrower heel. Hands down the best daily trainers I've found yet.

Comfortable bouncy trainerThese shoes are great for daily runs as I use them for daily trainers. I wouldn’t recommend these for workouts as they as best for nice recovery runs or maybe a steady state depending on your preference. The only bad thing I could say about these shoes is they aren’t the most durable. So if you have some extra money and are able to keep cycling these shoes regularly then I would 100% get them as they are the most comfortable trainer I have ran in.

New Balance all the way!I recently bought these to throw them into rotation along with my Rebel v4's and 860 v13's. They are a great addition! Been using them for my long runs, recovery runs, and for days I'm just not feeling 100% but still want to get some miles in and they're absolutely phenomenal. The cushioning is similar to some Hoka's I've tried but better without feeling like it "too much". It's a perfect balance for me. Especially being a larger runner at 6' 4" 205 lbs. I've had issues with my right knee (3 ACL tears) and I haven't felt ANY discomfort running in these, as well as the other New Balances I have in my rotation. They have quickly become my favorite brand and look forward to there new releases they come out with and giving them a try. You won't regret getting these if you're on the fence about them. I would recommend a half size up though. Happy running my dudes and dudettes!
