Nice cush!I have been wearing the 1080 v 13 for a year now. Great cushion and light. New balance tends to run smaller so I tried a size up. Too big so I have to wear-in my regular size but other than that, love them!

Great Supportive Shoes!I’ve been a New Balance 1080 fan for years now. I’ve tried other brands and styles, but I always come back to my favorite brand and style. These new “Fresh Foam” shoes won’t disappoint. They are well made, amazingly comfortable, and will provide you with the support you need for many, many miles and hours per day on your feet. I usually buy two pairs at a time, in different colors, and rotate them. I’m sold on these shoes and I hope I’ve talked you into them too!

Perfect Daily TrainersThese shoes are comfortable and responsive at the same time. There are the perfect fit for my slightly wide forefoot (bunions) and narrower heel. Hands down the best daily trainers I've found yet.

Comfortable bouncy trainerThese shoes are great for daily runs as I use them for daily trainers. I wouldn’t recommend these for workouts as they as best for nice recovery runs or maybe a steady state depending on your preference. The only bad thing I could say about these shoes is they aren’t the most durable. So if you have some extra money and are able to keep cycling these shoes regularly then I would 100% get them as they are the most comfortable trainer I have ran in.

New Balance all the way!I recently bought these to throw them into rotation along with my Rebel v4's and 860 v13's. They are a great addition! Been using them for my long runs, recovery runs, and for days I'm just not feeling 100% but still want to get some miles in and they're absolutely phenomenal. The cushioning is similar to some Hoka's I've tried but better without feeling like it "too much". It's a perfect balance for me. Especially being a larger runner at 6' 4" 205 lbs. I've had issues with my right knee (3 ACL tears) and I haven't felt ANY discomfort running in these, as well as the other New Balances I have in my rotation. They have quickly become my favorite brand and look forward to there new releases they come out with and giving them a try. You won't regret getting these if you're on the fence about them. I would recommend a half size up though. Happy running my dudes and dudettes!

Comfortable for long periods on feetPurchased these for my son who has to be on his feet for many hours at a time on an asphalt surface. He says they are comfortable and his feet are not sore or tired at the end of a 6-8 hour span.

New favorite everyday shoe!I decided to try the newest version of 1080s (also love Hoka cliftons) and these are my new favorite. Cushy, springy. I actually got my 2nd pair within a few months of trying the first pair. For reference: I run 1-2 marathons a year, 40ish miles per week. Highly recommend!

No More Heel Pain!!!!I haven't run in about five years, so I knew I had to pick a confortable shoe that would allow me to slowly get back into shape. Past issues with Plantar fasciitis did not resurface with this fantastic shoe! I have increased my milage to about twenty miles a week with no issues.

Love this shoe! This shoe is great for long/easy runs. They have great cushion and provide a comfortable road run. My only comment here is that if you have instability or struggle with proper striking, it may not be the shoe for you because there is a lot of cushion. Overall I love them!

Recovery Shoe!i'm a 5'0" female, 115ish lbs, running 15-30mpw. the 1080v13s are soft and plush, perfect for shorter recovery and easy runs. when my legs are beat up, this is the pair i reach for! for longer or faster runs, i lean towards the triumph 20 to eat up those miles with more energy return. although i use these for shorter recovery/easy runs/walks, you can definitely run long distances in these while staying very comfortable. if you're trying to get used to really using your legs, then these would be perfect!

Comfortable1080v13 is better than previous two versions. It one of the most comfortable shoes out there for easy jogs and walking. Soft underfoot evenly from heel to toe. If it had better breathability it would be a perfect easy train shoe for me.

Great fitI have been using the same brand of shoes for many years and thought I would switch things up on a pair. I am so glad I did. These shoes fit great and are so comfortable. I do slogging (slow jogging) for fitness. The New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080 v13 are great for my joints (over 60). These are definitely my new go to shoes and the way training is going I may be able to move up from slogging to regular jogging pace in my next 1/2 maraton. Huge fan of these.

No Jet Pack Needed! As a middle-aged, reluctant runner taking up the activity again for the umpteenth time, I wasn’t convinced that a pair of running shoes would alter anything until… Oh. My. Goodness. On my first run, I thought for sure I had a jet pack on. I’m packing on a few more pounds these days than I would care to, and these shoes made it seem, well, like I was a real runner. I started to enjoy my outings more and more. I don’t know what this shoe will do for true, competitive runners, but for the “I-want-to-but-I-don’t-know-if-I-can” crowd, put ‘em in your card now and check out!

Very Mushy UnderfootI cannot recommend this shoe to anyone. While I do like a soft shoe, this was mushy. I have never felt a shoe this mushy. I didn't even like walking around the house in them. I didn't bother taking them on the road. I thought I'd try a different insole and it still wasn't better. Also the midfoot upper was too wide. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was that I did like the wide toe box and the heel felt nice with a good lock down.

Too softIt was deceiving to say the least…1st week running I felt it was the greatest, 2nd week no so much, started feeling my foot slipping off my heel and no lateral support…and by the 3rd week I totally felt everything was too loose and soft…tried changing the insoles with a few different ones but none really felt good.Thank that I always buy from TW (great company!)that understands that these things happen with new models so I sent them back.

Oh so softThese shoes are very soft and comfortable. Been using them for my everyday running pace. I will say that the toe box and mid foot area is narrow. Had to get 2E and for reference my foot is an E, so sometimes standard width works and sometimes it doesn’t.

Awesome! After switching from Hokas to Sauconys and back to Hokas Bondi 8 & Clifton 9s I tried New Balance for the 1st time and I love them. I’m 69/169 lbs with more than 50 yrs running (I’m a tennis coach, formerly a player) my knees both have osteoarthritis so cushion is very important and these have more than Hokas and the upper is softer too.

I don't love this shoe...I really wanted to love these shoes, but I don't. The shoe itself is very comfortable. It has enough support. The only problem I have with this shoe is the heel. It feels like it dips down and it changes my gait. I will not be buying these again.

Best feeling shoes for easy runsThis has become my everyday shoe, I wear it for all of my easy runs (which are usually done on the road) and it feels amazing. I barely even feel the pounding from the road when wearing these. I have on multiple occasions wore these on some trail runs and they did very well there too. I also do not think that I have ever loved a running shoe as much as I do these. My only issue is that I seem to need to replace them between 350 and 400 miles (though I think you could get more if you were to rotate shoes on a more day to day basis. These are definitely the shoes to wear on easy runs of any distance in my true opinion.

Love I had both my knees replaced in August 2023. I ran a half marathon 7 months later with these shoes. Did amazingly! I am a seasoned long distance runner for 45 yrs. Hokas were my shoe of choice ever since they first appeared on the market years ago. After my surgery, the Cliftons felt floppy to me. They never truly fit snugly. These 1080's do and they are much more comfortable than hokas for me. Springy.

Comfy cushionFits true to size, I wear a size 10.5 in Nike Invincible, Hoka Mach5. Laces fit secure and snug while easy to adjust with no issues. Weight is also nice, don’t really notice it on foot. I have 85 miles on my pair and durability seems good so far. Use mainly for longer/slower runs but it can pick up for tempo pace efforts easily.

Super LemonThe Fresh Foam X 1080 v13 delivers poor energy return in a sloppy, inconsistently cushioned manner. It's like driving on tires that are nearly flat, only worse because the tires aren't uniformly almost-flat. I ran in the Fresh Foam Beacons for a couple years and considered it one of the best shoes of all time. I tried these as a replacement when the Beacon line was discontinued. The wrong line was discontinued. In the age of super shoes, this is a super lemon.

Comfortable but one problemI'm not sure if anyone else experienced this.....but the sock liner rubs against my heel. I'm going to try another set of inserts but I shouldn't have to do that.

This shoe is freshI always like it when I purchase a shoe that really works for me. This is my first time running in the 1080 series. This Fresh Foam formula is fabulous. Very cushioned and responsive heel and forefoot. I usually prefer an 8-10 drop, but these seem to work just fine. Well done New Balance.

heel way too softI am stuck running the 1080s because I wear a 2A and that is pretty much my only option out there. It has always been a great shoe for me. I much preferred the v9 and 10s heel cup, but the ride has always been outstanding. The 1080 v13 are much too soft. Your heel sinks significantly when you hit the ground. I have ran for 40+ years and have never had a calf issue. After about 2 weeks in this shoe I have a mild calf strain. I am positive it is because of the softness of the heel and the amount you sink into the shoe when your foot strikes the ground. Also very odd, I had to order a full size larger than what I typically wear. Usually a 7.5, sometimes I have had to go up to an 8 but never an 8.5.

Lovin emBeen cycling a pair of 1080's since v11 with that weird heel cup. Loved the comfort and feel of the upper on the v12 but the midsole just felt "eh" to me. These v13's are awesome. Foam is super squishy but rebounds nice so it doesn't feel like you're running on a marshmallow. Love the mesh upper (can't wait till the knit upper trend dies). Just as smooth and comfortable as the v12 but I think a touch nicer still. Plus these things feel light on the feet. Honestly couldn't be much happier. Fit was true to size (had to size up for first time in v12's like everyone else). I alternate these with the new Nike Infinity Runs which I also like, but these have a totally different feel. I think NB really nailed the model on this iteration. For reference I'm 5'7" 163lbs working my way up from 30mpw. Have done probably 50 miles+ in the shoe on everything from trails to roads. The foam feels better on the roads where the cushion and rebound shine. On uneven trails, the midsole can feel a touch unstable overall but nothin to hesitate over.

WHY???I've ran in the 1080s since V6 I believe. It has been my go to for training and racing up to the marathon distance for years. For context, I'm 6', 170 # neutral runner that logs appr 30-35 mpw. Since going to the 1080s I've been pleased that, finally a shoe company doesn't continuously change a shoe from year to year... until now. Every time I get a new pair of 1080s I know what the feel will be. I just got the new V13s and what a disappointment! With the exception of the upper, the whole shoe has changed dramatically and for me, not for the better. The heel feels as if it totally collapses under foot and feels too squishy. after 2 runs, 6-7 miles in the shoe has lost any bounce or life it had which wasn't much to begin with for a new shoe. It just feels there is no structure to the shoe now. The positive is the upper has mostly stayed the same soft flexible feel it has been. Even though it's lighter, it doesn't feel like it due to a non responsive toe off. With the higher stack and lower drop it seems to have moved into the boutique shoe category as many have. Maybe a good walker but lost it's appeal as a solid running shoe. Once my v12s run out I'm back to searching again.

Love these shoes so farI'm only about 15-20 miles into using these shoes, but I love them so far. The foam feels very soft and cushiony, without feeling like you're sinking into the shoe. I also own and enjoy running in the v12s, which made me want to try these out, and I like the v13s even a little bit more (so far). I'm sorry to hear others have had issues with the toebox, but I've had no issues in either the v13 or v12.

Agree with the previous reviewer…I love the feel of the foam. Very soft. However, I agree with the previous reviewer; the toebox is way too narrow. I had hoped these would work out, but I will have to return them as I cannot wear them.

Loved v12...Buyer beware, the v13 has a narrower toe box than the 12. I loved the 12 and looked forward to the new upper. As soon as I slipped them on my big toe felt like it was getting shoved inward. Too bad I have to return them. I wear a size 10.
