The shorts feature a supportive inner liner that won't ride up, a soft waistband for a barely-there feel, and taped seams for ultimate chafe-free comfort. There is ample storage to be found with a zipper pocket in the back for holding keys, I.D, or gels, and an internal brief phone pocket for a secure, bounce-free run. We love the laser-cut perforations on the outer shell and Odlo's lightweight, quick-drying material that provides plenty of cooling ventilation and breathability as you work up a sweat. Overall, our reviewers enjoyed the comfortable, supportive fit and stretchy fabric that moves with your body, and we highly recommend these shorts as a staple of your running gear.

Features & Style

Score: 9/10
Odlo Short

David: "The features of these shorts are effective and well-executed. There is a hidden phone pocket on the liner that can fit a large phone or gels, and won't bounce, even as you pick up the pace. Additionally, you can secure your key or ID in a back zipper pocket, which keeps your hands free. As for style, these shorts look sleek and fitted, and are made with high-quality fabric."

Kaleb: "The Odlo 2-in-1 Short had a simple yet effective style with a nice combination of features. The rear zipper pocket and the stash pocket along the hip (on the liner) provided ample storage for all my running essentials and securely held my phone, which is always a huge plus for me! Although, I did have some issues quickly accessing the hip pocket while running. I am not exactly sure what caused this (probably a combination of the high location of the pockets and my ineptitude), but ultimately, it was not a huge issue. I am also not a big fan of the liner extending past the shell of the short (despite it being a popular design in the fitness and running industries), and I tend to prefer brief liners instead. Overall, the shorts performed relatively well at keeping me dry, and I had no problems with chafing or anything of that nature."

Comfort & Fit

Score: 9.5/10
Odlo Short

David: "As a tall and lean runner, these shorts fit me comfortably and feel sleek compared to most other running shorts. The inner liner is lightweight, stretchy, and supportive, and the fabric dries quickly. The outer material is also super lightweight and offers some stretch that allows you to run uninhibited. Lastly, the waistband is soft and low-profile, so you hardly notice it’s there."

Kaleb: "The shorts were very comfortable, and I found myself wearing them long after my run had been completed. The polyester-spandex lining is soft, supportive, and very secure with the utilization of taped seams that prevent any ride up. These shorts were good at wicking away moisture and allowed me to remain comfortable, no matter how long my run was."

Quality & Value

Score: 9.5/10

David: "This is a high-end, quality pair of running shorts that could also be used for the gym or other activities. The fabric and comfort are worth the price tag if you’re looking to splurge. Additionally, the bonus features like the phone pocket or back zipper pocket offer a further incentive that makes these shorts a must-try."

Kaleb: "I think Odlo has created a nice pair of shorts in the Zeroweight 2-in-1 Short. They are comfortable, breathable, supportive, and never faltered at delivering a quality running experience. The shorts are listed at $75, which is a bit high for someone with my budget, but they do not lack any performance quality and would be a great short for a lot of runners. I don't have any worries about durability with these shorts, and they should be a staple in my running kit moving forward."

Overall Score: 8.5/10

The Odlo 2-in-1 Short is a no-frills, all-business (functional) short that offers a comfortable and supportive fit, which is a joy to run in. This short's ample storage enables me to carry all my running essentials with ease, although I struggled a bit with accessing the liner pocket while running. The perforated outer shell and mesh liner keeps me cool and dry, even in hot conditions. I think the price is a little steep for my preference, but compared to other similar products on the market, it is high-quality made. Overall, runners will enjoy running in these supportive shorts, and I am excited to wear them frequently moving forward.
