Odlo built the Zeroweight Engineered Chill-Tec Crew Neck Short Sleeve Tee to keep you cool and comfortable on hot-weather runs. The shirt is constructed with a featherweight material for an airy feel, while its taped seams ensure you enjoy a chafe-free workout. There is plenty of ventilation and airflow to go around, from the laser-cut perforations on each side to its all-over mesh design. The tee features Odlo's Chill-Tec active cooling technology, which reduces your body temperature by transferring heat away, keeping you cool as you work up a sweat. You can also experience longer-lasting freshness thanks to Odlo's ZeroScent anti-odor technology that prevents bacteria from being absorbed into the fabric for a stink-free run. Our reviewers agree that this shirt delivers on both performance and style, and that it would make a welcome addition to any runner's warm-weather wardrobe.
Features & Style
David: "This stylish running shirt offers well-thought-out features that enhance both comfort and performance. For example, there is an all-over mesh design that allows for plenty of airflow to keep you cool while also doubling as a modern heathered look. Taped seams are located on the sides, arm cuffs, and inside the hem to prevent chafing and add structure to the weightless tee. Lastly, reflective details on the front and back improve visibility when running in low-light conditions."
Kaleb: "The Zeroweight Engineered Chill-Tec cooling technology worked great. I had no issues staying cool in hot conditions, and (for the most part) it did a great job of keeping me dry. Although I was not a huge fan of the overall cut, the tee is fairly stylish."
Comfort & Fit
David: "As a tall and lean runner, this shirt fits me perfectly. It features a sleek, narrow frame with a slightly longer torso for extra coverage, but it might be too snug for larger runners. The stretch mesh fabric provides a barely-there feel for comfort throughout my miles. The breathable mesh panels work especially well for warm-weather runs when I need additional airflow and ventilation to stay cool and dry."
Kaleb: "I thought the t-shirt was above average when it came to comfort. The polyester was fairly soft on the skin and provided quality functionality when running. I thought the overall cut did not quite suit my body. It is more of what I would call a Euro cut (not surprising since Odlo is a Norwegian company), which is relatively slim through the chest and long through the torso. This was not a big issue, just a notable difference compared to other similar products."
Quality & Value
David: "I've worn this shirt on several runs, and it's been holding up well. Despite the ultra-lightweight fabric, the build seems durable, and I expect this tee to last for a while. The only issue I've noticed so far is that there appears to be some minor pilling around some of the mesh panels after a few washes. It hasn't affected performance or comfort, but it is something to be aware of."
Kaleb: "I think Odlo has made a quality product here. It does exactly what it is designed to do: keep runners cool in hot conditions. I do have slight concerns in terms of durability. The shirt is so light and thin that I worry about snagging it on anything, and I will avoid putting this one in the dryer."

I absolutely love this running tee. I've used it for a number of trail and road runs, and it's quickly become the first shirt I grab when I head out for some miles. The fabric is stretchy and insanely lightweight, offering a barely-there feel. The mesh panels give this shirt a heathered look for enhanced style and performance. The cut is sleek and long, so it's perfect for my tall and lean torso but may not be ideal for larger runners. Despite some minor pilling around a few mesh panels, the build and fabric are high-quality. The price tag may deter those looking for a cheap and functional running tee, but it is better than many tees I've tried in that range. I would highly recommend this shirt for those who are seeking a sleek, high-performance running shirt that will quickly become your new favorite. |

I thought the Odlo Zeroweight Crew Neck was comfortable, and I was impressed with its breathability. Even though it does not feel quite as soft as some of the other shirts on the market and has a more European cut, I was quite pleased with the shirt's quality, as well as its ability to keep me cool in hot conditions. Given its quality and value, I think the Odlo Zeroweight Crew Neck would make a great hot-weather addition to any runner's kit — just beware of snag hazards. |
