Must haveVery useful for long hikes and trail runs when you run out of water and there is a river near buy.

Excellent tool to get surface water on runsThis flask came with a handy ring around the lid to hold it while running. It’s also easily put into a running vest. I looked at other similar options but Salomon has always provided me with great products and when you’re dependent on water you want to go with what you know.

The answer to wagging water on trail runsThis is perfect for avoiding having to carry multiple bottles on long trail runs. Just scoop when you cross a stream and have fresh cold water all day!
Great flow rateAfter two daylong trail runs, I'm very pleased with this. I got it to replace a Sawyer Mini for unsupported FKT attempts. The Sawyer is great for some uses, but this filter works better for me in a couple ways when trying to go fast in cold weather. First, water flows through it quite a bit faster that the Sawyer, and second, it seems less susceptible to damage from freezing because the filter media is submerged in water rather than above it. The flask fits in my Nathan vest's front pocket... until I add trail food as well, and then it's too tall. I've had to store it in my back tunnel pocket, and I was pleased that the nozzle didn't leak even when sideways with my vest pressing against it. The loop handle is helpful for dipping the flask in chilly water without getting my fingers too wet. I feel a bit silly spending this much on a filter flask, but it has suited my specific needs very well.
