All Women's Road Shoes

  • Daily TrainersDaily Trainers

The baseline definition of a running shoe. Daily Trainers lean on time-proven designs, technologies and features for dependable cushioning, support and comfort. They're a staple in every runner's closet, and if you are new to running shoes, then you should start your journey here.

  • Performance TrainersPerformance Trainers

Performance Trainers provide a springy feel and make longer runs easier and faster runs faster. While quicker than Daily Trainers, Performance Trainers are not nearly as fast as Super Shoes. Due to a focus on keeping things light weight, Performance Trainers are less durable than Daily Trainers. These can also be a good option for one's first race shoe.

  • Super ShoesSuper Shoes

Super Shoes are the fastest running shoes you can buy. They are designed to race your absolute best and represent the pinnacle of running shoe technology and innovation. They have the highest energy return foams and plates for new levels of performance. Low durability, but maximum speed is the name of the game here.

Men's Running Shoes by Surface

  • Roads & PavementRoads & Pavement

Road running shoes feature smooth outsoles that are designed for running on paved surfaces such as roads, sidewalks, and bike paths.

  • Smooth Trails & FireroadsSmooth Trails & Fireroads

Designed to handle most trail runs, these shoes prioritize comfort and a smooth ride. These shoes are great for anything from smooth singletrack, park trails, and fireroads making them ideal for those who run from their doorstep on streets before hitting the trail.

  • Rocky & Technical TrailsRocky & Technical Trails

These shoes are best used for hard, rugged trails such as shale, granite or sandstone where grip on smooth surfaces and underfoot protection are important.

  • Soft & Muddy TrailsSoft & Muddy Trails

Designed for use in muddy, soggy conditions, these shoes feature very aggressive outsoles that dig deep into soft ground for exceptional traction.

  • Snowy & Icy TrailsSnowy & Icy Trails

These shoes feature technical outsoles designed to grip snowy and icy trails making them ideal for winter trail running.

Cushioning Level

  • Cushioning level, or stack height, refers to how much shoe is between your foot and the ground. For this category, we reference the amount of cushioning below the forefoot as the heel height will be equal to or greater than the forefoot height.
Learn more about stack heights and how we measure them.

  • Barefoot

0-13mm. The Shoe generally does not have a midsole and feels like there is no cushioning. This shoe is all about feeling the ground underfoot.

  • Minimal

14-18mm. The shoe has a thin midsole that allows for a natural running experience. Racing shoes and minimalist shoes are common here. These shoes offer a feeling of being connected to the road or trail.

  • Low

19-23mm. The shoe has a slightly cushioned feel and may feature added cushioning technologies. Performance training shoes and some trail shoes are common here. These offer protection during footstrike but prioritize a lightweight, grounded experience.

  • Medium

24-28mm. These shoes have a stack height that fall near the middle of the spectrum. The shoes in this category are verstaile and great for all types of runs and distances.

  • High

29-34mm. The shoe has a thick midsole and ample cushioning. These shoes are highly protective and absorb more impact than the body.

  • Maximal

35mm plus. The shoe has an extremely thick midsole and extra cushioning. The focus is on protection and soft foam underfoot with hardly any ground feel.

Stability Level

  • Neutral

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

Product Details:

The adidas adizero Evo SL blends the best of both worlds: the lightweight speed of super shoes like the revolutionary adizero Adios Pro Evo, with the daily versatility of the adizero SL or Boston. Inspired by the fastest-looking and hottest racing shoe, then adjusted for more broadly accessible use, the Evo SL is the ultimate super trainer for runners seeking both speed and durability in their weekly runs and workouts.

Featuring a full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole, the same superfoam used in elite racing shoes, this shoe offers a responsive and lightweight ride ideal for faster paces. Like the Adios Pro Evo, this cutting-edge foam is non-compression molded, which increases energy return, significantly reduces weight, and provides ample cushioning for longer distances without sacrificing speed.

Unlike its carbon-rodded Adios Pro siblings, the Evo SL opts for a simpler nylon shank in the midfoot for a smooth balance of flexibility and rigidity. Further, the absence of significant midsole cutouts enhances inherent stability. Meanwhile, the outsole is equipped with thin Continental rubber in the front half and clear rubber in the heel, enhancing traction and durability while keeping weight to a minimum.

Complete with a breathable engineered mesh upper and including a more padded and supportive heel and midfoot, this performance trainer delivers excellent comfort and structure. Whether logging miles or picking up the pace, the adidas adizero Evo SL is engineered to handle it all with easy speed.

What You'll Love:

  • Soft, light, full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole
  • Elite aesthetic and speedy performance
  • Versatility for both training and workouts

How We Measure Our Shoe Specs

  • We measure every shoe in-house to provide accurate and consistent details.

  • Weight

The weight is based on a Men's size 9 for Men's and Unisex shoes or Women's size 8 for Women's shoes. The weight listed is for a single shoe, including the laces.

  • Heel Stack

The heel stack refers to how high your heel sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Forefoot Stack

Forefoot stack refers to how high the ball of the foot sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Heel-toe Offset

Heel-toe offset (drop) is the difference in height between the heel stack and the forefoot stack. We use the number given to us by the brand.

How We Measure Shoe Fit

  • All measurements are based on Medium width.

  • Fit (width) options are Narrow - Snug - Average - Roomy - Wide.

  • Sizing (length) options are Short - True - Long. Note: fit is relative to the "average" running shoe.

  • We partner with SmartLast, a program by Heeluxe, to use advanced shoe-measuring technology, to provide objective measurements for toe box, midfoot, and heel widths as well as overall length.

Excellent OfferingI’ve got about 40 miles on this shoe and really loving the responsiveness and cushion. I primarily run on chipseal roads that can get a little rough and the shoe is holding up great so far. Very light, breathable and good amount of room in the toe box. Very comfortable for my 1 hour runs.

Proper shoe size affects rideI recently had the chance to try the Evo SL in a half size smaller than my true-to-size fit. Going down half a size, while making the upper fit better, resulted in a less than stellar midsole experience. I am a mid/forefoot striker who mildly supinates. Sizing down by half seemed to have caused the rocker point to move closer to the toes (and shorten that sweet spot forefoot landing bed). Rather than experiencing the soft mid/forefoot strike that smoothly and effortlessly rolls into toe-off, the foot strike is hitting the foam more head-on and the roll to the toe-off comes later in the cycle. The foot impact is being blunted by the foam instead of being guided into a forward-rolling transition. I can understand why some people may not feel the magic of this shoe's rocker and foam design - if the sizing is off, it becomes just an average or subpar shoe. But in the proper (true-to-size) fit, it becomes a super shoe. I will be ordering many more future pairs but in my true-to-size fit. For version 2, hope they keep the midsole unchanged but tidy up the upper to fit better. One adjustment I made was to cut the tongue much like how the Vaperfly's tongue has a V area to relieve pressure on a tendon at the top of the foot. Other than that, it is still a 5 star shoe in the proper size.

Best shoe in yearsThis is just an amazing shoe. It is fast, light, cushy without being mushy. Has the response to go fast but softness to take the harshness out of the ground impact. Absolutely love the rocker profile. I am both a cadence and stride runner if that makes sense (180 spm to over 200 spm when picking up pace but stride length can go from 1.1 to 1.5meters so maybe someone can tell me which I am). It does fit about half size large but my regular size works fine although the toe box is quite roomy. I am considering sizing down half a size for my 3rd pair. The shoe is fun to run in. I actually look forward and enjoy the ride in these shoes more than any shoe in recent memory. I like the Evo SL better than the new AP4s which are a bit too soft for my liking. Adidas please do not change the foam formulation. This foam version is a perfect blend of soft and responsiveness although a slightly firmer or softer tweak would still make the shoe work well.

Nice tempo ShoeWas looking for something to replace the Saucony Speed 2s in-terms of Drop, stack height etc. feels perfect in those areas, light and efficient with good response. (I am 5"7 and 126). Originally bought a 8.5 but the toe box was a bit wider than usual so sold it off and got a size 8 which fits perfect. Works well for tempo to moderate Intervals @ 345km Paces

Not for meI really like the design and feel, not too cushiony or hard flat. But the toe box is too wide :( Nobody wants to run with loose fit shoes, can cause blisters too

Did Not Live Up to HypeI was on the fence about this shoe and bought it because I figured I could wear it as a daily work shoe if I didn’t like running in it. No-go on both counts. My problem with this is the same I had with the Nimbus 26 and Superblast 2 - too squishy. With overly cushioned shoes I feel like they’re fighting me, not helping. I’m around 6’2 220 lbs. so my experience is probably different than most, but these were a letdown. This is also not a stable platform, so much so that I don’t want to wear it just going about my day. For new runners my size, I suggest looking at the Ride 18s, Pegasus 41s and Boston 12s.

Fantastic!I hate running! Not a fan. BUT I do workout and my job is very physical. I am outside standing, walking etc for 12-14 hours a day- 6 days a week. Shoes are critical for me to be successful in my career. I have tried 100’s of different types of shoes in my life. But once I put these Adizero shoes on…I was totally shocked! On my first step-I was hooked! So, I may not be the runner that these shoes were meant for, but my daily life has been elevated for a successful day and recovered easily over night for the next. Thanks Adidas for making a shoe that has allowed me to focus on work and not the pain I’ve been in!

FantasticI am by no means a seasoned runner. However, I have tried various brands and many models- only to have these rate at my favorite, to date. I have run 2 half marathons in these bad boys, and have nothing but praise for them. The LS might be my favorite cushioning- responsive, soft, but also provides stability for my feet/ankles. The ONLY draw back for me is that the tongue is not gusseted. It's a minor complaint, but c'mon. Having said that, I'm already looking into getting another pair. These shoes are worth it!

Candidate for all-time favorite trainerIt took about 30 miles for the upper to break in, but the shoes are light, well-cushioned, and propulsive... An absolute steal at $140. I'm approaching 500 miles on my first pair, and they are holding up surprisingly well. Given the incredible price point, these probably dethrone the Endorphin Speed II as my all-time favorite trainer.

I don't get the hypeI honestly do not understand the hype around this shoe. It is simply a compromise shoe, not an "all around shoe", and even that feels generous. It feels heavy and clunky underfoot. It does not feel good going slow or fast. The shape makes no sense; very wide in the midfoot then abruptly comes to a narrow toe box that causes your big toe to rub on every step. The foam is dense and rigid with no energy return. You are reminded that you are wearing the show with every step (not in a good way) as it feels like you need to adapt your stride for the shoe rather than the shoe working with your stride. I am really scratching my head as to why people like this shoe. This may be the worst shoe I have ever worn. For reference, I run ~70 miles/week and have run the marathon under 2:30. I have run in a lot of shoes over the years and this is the first time I am just plain baffled by a shoe.
