The 100M Ultramarathon

This is a significant endurance challenge, often involving running through a full day and night. Terrain and weather conditions can vary widely.

Gear Recommendations:

Shoes: Ultra-durable, high-cushioning trail shoes. Some runners prefer to switch shoes mid-race.

Hydration: Large-capacity hydration pack, with space for extra water bottles.

Clothing: You're out there for a while so multiple layers to accommodate day/night temperature changes, including a waterproof jacket. Don't forget extra socks!

Nutrition: When running a 100M race you can easily burn over 10,000 calories. So how are you going to replenish? Think about the usual gels, but also think real foods and calorie-rich hydration.

Race Recommendations:
#1. Javelina Jundred
#2. Devils Gulch
#3. Western States
