Awesome shorts with not so awesome waistbandI've been on a short shorts kick recently and purchased these shorts on sale. One of the main things I look out for when getting new running shorts is how much storage they have, and the storage on these is excellent. The back phone pocket doesn't bounce around too much, and I don't notice my keys in the interior key pocket at all. The thing that really sets these shorts apart is the vertical side pockets. The shorts are not a tight fit at all, but somehow the side pockets are very secure and I don't notice any bounce from items in them despite how large the pockets are. Would truly be a perfect pair of shorts for me if not for the weird waistband. I wear a size small, and I have to cinch the drawstring a bunch to get the shorts to stay around my waist; The drawstring is the main thing holding the shorts in place. This is strange because I also have the Thigh Time shorts from rabbit, and they have a great, secure fitting elastic waistband that I could get away with wearing without tying the drawstring. Overall, I would still recommend these shorts because once the drawstring is tied securely, the shorts perform wonderfully. Hopefully the next version of the FKT shorts fixes the waistband.

Great shorts, love the linerBig fan of these shorts and have gradually replaced my other pairs with the 3" FKTs. I personally find the waist band really comfortable and surprisingly secure for how loose/light they feel pulling on. Even loaded up these disappear while running.

Odd fit, itchy linerScratchy liner irritated my thighs, it's got that weird thick waistband with weak elastic so you've got to rely on the drawstring to keep them up (if you're buying them for the pockets, as I did, they're gonna be weighed down with nutrition which makes this an even bigger problem). The fit is a bit strange even beyond that--felt like my legs didn't have much room to extend up or forward before encountering resistance. Pockets are good for a trail run, but probably too big for a marathon.
