The GT-1000 stands out against many other stability options thanks to its moderate stack heights and less emphatic stability features. While other stability shoes might emphasize maximum foam stacks and heavy-handed stability, the GT 1000 lets you stay lower to the ground and connected to your runs. ASICS' FF Blast foam combines with ASICS' PUREGEL technology to stay comfortable, but the low volume, subtle approach to cushioning and guidance allows the shoe to get out of your way so you can stay focused on yourself.
The upper has been upgraded to a new Engineered Mesh upper, which should be thinner and more breathable than before, while remaining just as durable. An ortholite sockliner stays breathable and moisture resistant, while a new eyelet loop provides a visible lockdown sensation.
Below the shoe, in the outsole, AHAR LO and AHARPLUS rubbers combine to emphasize grip and durability in those spots where you need them the most.
