Product Details:
The GlideRide Max 2 does everything it can to make sure your next run will be your smoothest one yet. With the addition of a new plate in the midsole and an updated upper, the GlideRide Max 2 is ready to glide a little smoother, and a little faster, than ever before. With its emphasis on providing a comfortable rolling feeling along with a pile of updates meant to make the ride even more sustainable, ASICS knows that with max stacked shoes, we can't have too much of a good thing.
The main updates for the GlideRide Max 2 will be felt in the shoe's fit and upper. With a new, woven, breathable, recycled polyester material composing the upper, and a new insole/sock liner combination in the interior, the GlideRide Max 2 has focused their lens on bettering the wrap of your foot while preserving the underfoot experience that its predecessor got right.
Speaking of which: Down low, the GlideRide Max 2 sports a midsole that pairs an FF BLAST MAX top layer of foam with a FF BLAST PLUS bottom layer of foam, to ensure a bouncy, comfortable ride. A Hard Press EVA plate has been added between these two layers to ensure that you get the responsiveness needed to maintain your pace and the stability needed to roll consistently from heel strike to toe-off.
Down on the bottom of the shoe, a HYBRID ASICSGRIP outsole makes sure you have the tread needed to grip the road with confidence, so that your smooth stride never falters.
Not to be overlooked are the lengths ASICS is going to in order to make sure that the GlideRide Max 2 is environmentally conscious. We already mentioned the Recycled Polyester Upper, but ASICS also utilizes a "dope dying" process for sustainably creating their sock liner (reducing chemical usage and environmental impact) and emphasizes the bio-based materials that create their midsole foams. All this so your ecological conscience can feel as good as your feet do through mile after mile of the great outdoors.
