All Women's Road Shoes

  • Daily TrainersDaily Trainers

The baseline definition of a running shoe. Daily Trainers lean on time-proven designs, technologies and features for dependable cushioning, support and comfort. They're a staple in every runner's closet, and if you are new to running shoes, then you should start your journey here.

  • Performance TrainersPerformance Trainers

Performance Trainers provide a springy feel and make longer runs easier and faster runs faster. While quicker than Daily Trainers, Performance Trainers are not nearly as fast as Super Shoes. Due to a focus on keeping things light weight, Performance Trainers are less durable than Daily Trainers. These can also be a good option for one's first race shoe.

  • Super ShoesSuper Shoes

Super Shoes are the fastest running shoes you can buy. They are designed to race your absolute best and represent the pinnacle of running shoe technology and innovation. They have the highest energy return foams and plates for new levels of performance. Low durability, but maximum speed is the name of the game here.

Men's Running Shoes by Surface

  • Roads & PavementRoads & Pavement

Road running shoes feature smooth outsoles that are designed for running on paved surfaces such as roads, sidewalks, and bike paths.

  • Smooth Trails & FireroadsSmooth Trails & Fireroads

Designed to handle most trail runs, these shoes prioritize comfort and a smooth ride. These shoes are great for anything from smooth singletrack, park trails, and fireroads making them ideal for those who run from their doorstep on streets before hitting the trail.

  • Rocky & Technical TrailsRocky & Technical Trails

These shoes are best used for hard, rugged trails such as shale, granite or sandstone where grip on smooth surfaces and underfoot protection are important.

  • Soft & Muddy TrailsSoft & Muddy Trails

Designed for use in muddy, soggy conditions, these shoes feature very aggressive outsoles that dig deep into soft ground for exceptional traction.

  • Snowy & Icy TrailsSnowy & Icy Trails

These shoes feature technical outsoles designed to grip snowy and icy trails making them ideal for winter trail running.

Cushioning Level

  • Cushioning level, or stack height, refers to how much shoe is between your foot and the ground. For this category, we reference the amount of cushioning below the forefoot as the heel height will be equal to or greater than the forefoot height.
Learn more about stack heights and how we measure them.

  • Barefoot

0-13mm. The Shoe generally does not have a midsole and feels like there is no cushioning. This shoe is all about feeling the ground underfoot.

  • Minimal

14-18mm. The shoe has a thin midsole that allows for a natural running experience. Racing shoes and minimalist shoes are common here. These shoes offer a feeling of being connected to the road or trail.

  • Low

19-23mm. The shoe has a slightly cushioned feel and may feature added cushioning technologies. Performance training shoes and some trail shoes are common here. These offer protection during footstrike but prioritize a lightweight, grounded experience.

  • Medium

24-28mm. These shoes have a stack height that fall near the middle of the spectrum. The shoes in this category are verstaile and great for all types of runs and distances.

  • High

29-34mm. The shoe has a thick midsole and ample cushioning. These shoes are highly protective and absorb more impact than the body.

  • Maximal

35mm plus. The shoe has an extremely thick midsole and extra cushioning. The focus is on protection and soft foam underfoot with hardly any ground feel.

Stability Level

  • Neutral

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

Product Details:

Ready to do it all, the ASICS Superblast 2 offers a maximal stack height of lightweight and responsive superfoam, delivering elite performance for everything from daily training and long runs to race day.

In this update, you’ll find ASICS' FF TURBO+, the same superfoam used in the elite METASPEED racing line. This foam provides comfortable cushioning and efficiency benefits, making long-distance running feel easier. Sitting below this balanced and highly responsive foam is a thin layer of FF BLAST+ ECO, encouraging a softer and more stable landing with a bouncier toe-off.

The grippier outsole of the Superblast 2 is designed to keep weight to a minimum, now with ASICSGRIP rubber strategically placed for protection where necessary and cut out in areas where it's not needed. Meanwhile, a race-inspired one-piece upper completes the unique turbo-charged experience with engineered woven mesh that's softer to the touch, slightly stretchier, and highly breathable. Lastly, a gusseted tongue wing fit system improves the midfoot fit and reduces tongue sliding.

Whether you’re running fast, far, or both, the ASICS Superblast 2 is already a legendary total package that makes every mile comfortable, fun, and super.

What You'll Love:

  • Well-cushioned and highly energetic superfoam midsole
  • Updated upper improves comfort and fit
  • Truly unparalleled on-foot experience

How We Measure Our Shoe Specs

  • We measure every shoe in-house to provide accurate and consistent details.

  • Weight

The weight is based on a Men's size 9 for Men's and Unisex shoes or Women's size 8 for Women's shoes. The weight listed is for a single shoe, including the laces.

  • Heel Stack

The heel stack refers to how high your heel sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Forefoot Stack

Forefoot stack refers to how high the ball of the foot sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Heel-toe Offset

Heel-toe offset (drop) is the difference in height between the heel stack and the forefoot stack. We use the number given to us by the brand.

How We Measure Shoe Fit

  • All measurements are based on Medium width.

  • Fit (width) options are Narrow - Snug - Average - Roomy - Wide.

  • Sizing (length) options are Short - True - Long. Note: fit is relative to the "average" running shoe.

  • We partner with SmartLast, a program by Heeluxe, to use advanced shoe-measuring technology, to provide objective measurements for toe box, midfoot, and heel widths as well as overall length.

Ultimate Super TrainerI have 2 pairs of Superblast 2s and they're easily my favorite training shoe. They're comfy at recovery pace (over 8:00), my Z2 pace (7:00ish), and long runs, but still have the pop to handle marathon goal pace (6:00ish) tempos too! I wouldn't use them for workouts with paces under 5:30, but they excel at everything else. They aren't quite the 1 shoe rotation for me, but for many people these can be a part of a 2 shoe rotation with a Superblast 2 and a racing shoe for intervals+races.

12 to 10 month update on 4 pairs I bought....Received 1st pair in late july last year...... Through August and September, bought 3 more pairs (last year). Run trails only and this the only shoe I use. I'm using the GRVL for long slow jogs with 20lbs of weight on my back for trail work. For the SB2, each pair gets about 3 to 5 days of rest between use. I have hyperflexed the forefoot zone on each pair (180 degree bend back, held with straps for 4 to 6 weeks.) Stock laces out, 54" bubble laces in. (10 Second brand laces). All 4 pairs ride like they did when I pulled them from the box, except for my forefoot mod. Outsole looks new, upper looks new. No loss of fizz in the midsole. These shoes will probably go another 12 to 18 months the way I'm currently using them. I've used these shoes primarily on semi maintained dry/damp dirt trails, flats, false flats, steep climbs/ descents, skinny sketch trails at speed, etc..... These shoes dont work well in moist sloppy dirt, but they do stick to damp dirt.. The 40mm to 50mm of actual foam, not including knobs, under the heel is what my legs and body like the best.... the SB2 upper keeps me comfortably ontop ofthe middsole through aggro wiggly sections, and there is enough midsole flairing combined with low island tread heights so that the shoe doesnt topple over laterally or medially. This shoe is probably one of the fastest dry trail / hybrid shoes that RW sells if the shoe works with your foot shape. Me, dude, 54 years, 35-60 mpw, trails only, very experienced trail runner, came over from road/mtb racing.

Versatile and DurableI have 2 pairs. First pair is going strong at 400mi/ 650km but got a 2nd because I learned for ASICS a half size down fits me better. The sole and stack are highly protective. Soft enough to be comfortable but firm enough to stay responsive. The top is highly breathable but cushioned enough where you need it, and no signs of holes or damage from usual wear. As someone with way too many running shoes this is my first choice on a long run of any speed, my first choice for higher intensity road runs for basically anything over 5km, and frankly I find it competent for any other use from a slower recovery run to track workout. Despite the higher price tag I would buy this if you need just one shoe. It will last twice as long as cheaper trainers and feel good for more use cases which ultimately makes it the most budget friendly option.

Believe the hypeI have almost 200 miles on these and I find myself reaching for them more and more. Whether it's a short and fast lunch run or a slow 30 miles, these always seem to be the right choice.

Lives up to the hype (100 mile review)Let me first say that my experience with running shoes is with Nike and New Balance, with NB being my favorite. However, I have been seeking a daily trainer that offers superb comfort, performance and durability. I have five kids and can't be spending money on shoes multiple times a year. Then I hear about this super daily trainer from Asics. All the YouTubers seem to think this is the only show you need. I've never liked Asics running shoes but thought I'd give it a chance. I currently use Nike Vomero 17, NB super comp trainer v2 and NB super comp elite v3. Honestly, my first impression wasn't great. It was a lot firmer than I expected (coming from new balance in particular), but I later figured out that my issue had more to do with my running cadence than the foam itself. Once I fixed my cadence, the show became an absolute dream to use. The show is extremely light, the foam very responsive, and the durability is absolutely mind blowing. I've logged over 100 miles in this shoe and it doesn't look any different than when I took it out of the box. I've run in rain, snow, ice, etc and it has held up incredibly well. This shoe will give me 500 miles easy, something I have not been able to do with New Balance. The other thing that is worth mentioning is the new Asics grip. Wow, I can't believe how good the outsole rubber is. No slipping in the rain whatsoever. With that, I can say the Superblast 2 is the best daily trainer that I've ever owned. It's worth $200 for all the reasons states above. I will buy this shoe in the future for my daily runs. I also want to give props to Running Warehouse. This is my 4th pair of shoes from them and they have excellent customer support.

Fast and fun road to trail beast. This shoe is probablythe best shoe I have run in. It is very fast and stable on roads, but has really amazed me on the trails. The midsole does start out on the stiffer side, but breaks nicely in after 50 miles. Reviewer Gus' tip on mechanically flexing the forefoot is helpful too. I think the FF Turbo+ is the most efficient foam I have had under my feet. It delivers a sweet ride at any pace from recovery to strides. The Asics grip outsole has superb grip on both roadsand trails making this my top road to trail shoe ever. The upper is a deceptively simple multi-directional knit that gives a great lockdown and keeps the foot on top of the massive 46mm stack with zero BS like most of the over engineered TPU overlays on most trail shoes, which is what makes it so great on thetrails after breaking it in. Lots of people love this shoe for good reason: it is fast and lasts for a bunch of fun miles. Believe the hype!

Not So SuperThe Superblast 1 was a great shoe. Not perfect by any stretch (tongue was dreadful, laces were bitey), but much better than this model. The new foam is a little softer, a little less bouncy. My problem is Asics insisting on this stretched out geometry of the midsole. It is clunky, clumsy, and makes me run awkwardly. You are very aware that this shoe is on your foot and the tongue is still too thin. People talk about running marathons in these and the SB1 and I don't know how they avoid injuries at those distances. At mile 6-7 I am ready to get these off my feet.

not my favoriteI tried this shoe because it has been raved about. Unfortunately this is not the shoe for me. I feel like the shoe flops or plops during my gate cycle rather than giving me the proper roll through. It is also very wide through the mid foot, and I cannot get a good lock down. If you have a narrow mid foot this is not the shoe for you. I should have known because I have the same problem with the only other Asics shoe I own.

Super Blast ???Shoe felt stiff and provided limited bounce/ feedback. Had to work harder to run fast in these shoes, overall shoe felt too large/clumsy. Probably a very good shoe for SLOW runs, but I did not care for them. So much hype on how great these shoes were added to my disappointment.

Maybe better for heel strikersI might be the only person on earth that doesn't love this shoe, same thing happened with the Novablast 3. I have a pretty narrow and low volume foot, and even sizing down 1/2 the shoe is too roomy for anything fast (below 7min per mile), especially in the forefoot, but it's easy to get good heel lock with the beefy heel collar. I'm a definite mid-foot striker and the shoe feels a bit floppy, with very little sense of roll. But when running downhill I noticed the roll and bounce really came to life... because I was getting the spring from the heel. When I tried to land on my heel on the flats it felt great. The shoe feels very much like a trainer, especially because of the very thick (overdone to me) heel collar. It runs a little warm too. For a long distance trainer, I prefer a more sleek feeling shoe with more minimal upper like the Mach X 2, or if not that, at least the roll and bounce of something like the Zoom Fly 6 (which also has a thick heel collar). But, it's very stable and felt like it would last forever. It's a great shoe, just not for me.
