Customer Reviews
Not For Anyone Thin or With Narrower HipsI wanted to love this vest because the material is great, but it is not cut for the stereotypical runner’s build and does not appear to have been designed with runners in mind. There is no cinching or a drawcord to adjust the bottom, so unless you are curvy or have a larger midsection, there’s nothing keeping the vest from riding up when you run. I ran with an iPhone 15 Pro in the pocket and my phone was bouncing excessively the whole time. My phone does not bounce in a Lululemon vest I have, and I expected more thought in the design from Brooks given that it’s a running brand. It’s my fault for taking a chance and thinking this would keep my phone in place, but sadly this will likely find its way to the donation pile because I don’t need a vest that’s only useful for walking. For reference, I’m 5’2, have a 32” bust measurement, 36” hips, and a 25” waist. The reason this is 2 stars and not 1 is that the stretchy material used for the side panels is nice and I could see this being a favorite for women who have wide hips or a larger midsection. If you don’t run with a phone or aren’t annoyed by wearing a spibelt with a vest, this would also be a good buy. It’s ideal for temps in the 20s to 40s (low 50s if you’re walking).
