The best shorts run in. Ever.I’ll be honest, Chicken Legs as a brand made me laugh at first. And while the bold patterns aren’t really my thing, that’s exactly why I grabbed a black pair. Clean, simple, no distractions.
But the second I put them on, I got it.
These shorts feel premium in every way. The fabric, the waistband, the liner—everything just hits that perfect balance. Not too tight, not too loose…just dialed. I’m 6’1”, about 170 lbs with a 30 waist, and the medium fit me exactly how I want a running short to fit.
The biggest win for me? They don’t ride up. At all. That’s usually my biggest issue with running shorts, especially ones with liners, but these stayed put the entire run. No adjusting, no distractions.
I liked them so much that when I realized there was only one black pair left locally, I immediately went to the Chicken Legs website and ordered another pair. That pretty much says it all.
I’m still not sold on all the loud designs (maybe one day), but I’ll absolutely keep hunting for more colors, especially black. I’d check every running store in the mall if I had to.
The branding is fun, the waistband detail is a nice touch, and overall, these are easily one of the best running shorts I’ve worn. Better than a lot of bigger-name brands, honestly.

Awesome Awesome AwesomeI have been running for 40+ now. All the running shorts I have worn, which have been several hundred pair. I find these to be the absolute most comfortable. I love how they sit on my waist. The inner brief is comfortable and all the right parts.. And plus they look really cool!!
