Garmin Forerunner 265 AMOLEDI have had a couple of Apple Watches before, but as I have gotten more serious into running, I realized the Apple Watch wasn’t cutting it anymore. The battery life, water resistance, performance tracking, body battery, sleep tracking and many others things are so nice to have. I enjoy being able to wear the watch for many days through workouts, sleep, showering, without the need to take it off or charge it. The buttons and touch screen make the watch super easy to navigate in practically any scenario. Overall I would recommend this watch to anyone, whether you are trying to be more healthy, just getting into running, or are even more serious about running.

Best running watch!This watch is a very nice watch that supports all running levels. It's very easy to use and set up and has so much great data to support your progress. I had an older Forerunner 255 and was hesitant to upgrade to the 265, but I should have upgraded a lot sooner due to the benefits of this watch!!

A great upgradeI've been a long time user of Garmin computers for running and cycling. I bought the 265 to step up from Forerunner 55 I've been using for the last three years. The 265 is a substantial upgrade, with far more features than I'm able to use. I most appreciate the new bright display, the fast satellite connection, and the footpod features that are now built into the watch.

My ideal companion for everydayI was looking for a sports watch to accompany me on all my adventures and the watch has exceeded all my expectations. Its battery lasts for days, even when I use it for swimming, running, and hiking. The sports modes are very complete and the interface is super intuitive. In addition, the design is modern and elegant, so I can use it both for training and going out with friends. Without a doubt, an excellent investment for any sports lover.

I switched from the venu to the forerunner. So glad I did. The gps is more accurate.
I'm still trying to figure everything out.

265 Not so greatSwitched from an iWatch to this about 8 mos ago. The watch is a good watch with lots of features. The interface is alright. Pretty intuitive and easy to edit. Lots of extras you can add from the Garmin something store. But after only a couple mos I noticed a few persistent and kind of serious issues
- heart monitor doesnt always work. Often times during normal daily stuff or runs the heart monitor just won’t register my heart rate. Kind of crucial for calculating critical paces and workouts
- problems syncing: sometimes the watch just won’t sync to the connect app no matter how many times I turn it on or off or do the whole rigmarole. For ex-the weather complication just won’t sync ever so it’s sat on the weather from 2 weeks ago.
- sync to Garmin IQ doesn’t happen.
-feels cheap: not the best complaint. Maybe that’s the point it’s a small light watch that’s still a powerhouse but idk what happens the one time I fall on it
I can almost overlook these issues considering the amount of data the watch collects, but there are others that do the same and more.
Best Forerunner yetGreat new watch. I’ve had 10-15 Garmin watches dating back to first, a Forerunner 405. While my daily wear and primary racer is EPIX2, also stellar Watch, I got this as a back up and often use it instead when I don’t need EPIX2 features, forgot to charge etc. Screen smaller of course but colors and data displays are gorgeous. User interface is very similar to Fenix/Epix which I’m accustomed to and prefer. Very fast and reliable syncing and responses, fast accurate GPS. Now I might buy newest FR965 for screen size if didn’t already have this, but I’m totally satisfied with this watch.
Do NOT buy!The new screen is great but that’s the only good about this watch.
The software is not great. Constant syncing issues, constant disconnecting from Bluetooth devices, and WiFi sync issues!
Would recommend Garmin until they fix their software
