Mach 6 - a hidden gem!I feel like this shoe is a hidden gem. I haven't seen many people talking about it, but I think it's fantastic, and a great value. It's very competitively priced for what you get. It is extremely lightweight and feels pretty snappy. The foam is soft, but it has a nice rocker in the forefoot that propels you forward and makes this shoe feel very fast. The upper and outsole are very durable; I have two old pairs with 650+ miles on each, and they still don't show too much wear (although the foam feels pretty lifeless now). The cushioning and gusseted tongue are really comfortable. I run everything in this shoe, from easy long runs to track workouts. I think it's best suited for half-marathon to marathon pace, but it feels great at almost any speed. I have a pair of supershoes, but I think I'm going to run my next marathon in this shoe!

Great All-Purpose TrainerI've been running in Machs since series 4, and these are my favorite iterations so far. The combination of lightness, cushioning, and energy return is excellent. So far, these are fine for just about any run, including fartleks and long runs. I don't recommend going off road since the outer sole doesn't have much grip.

Combination + comfort = Hokah Mach 6I purchased the sneakers a few weeks before running the Tokyo marathon and they were perfect for my feet. I was able to quickly adjust in order to get some solid training. Bringing them to Tokyo to run the marathon was the best decision and I was able to hit a marathon PR of 4hours 8minutes. Highly recommended!

Good daily/uptempoBeen using this shoe for my longer threshold runs and long runs with some tempo work and I have loved it for that purpose because of its weight and bounce-back. That being said it’s got the cushion to use for easy recovery runs too, I just don’t think that’s necessarily where it shines. This is my second pair, and I got my first pair up to around 500 miles before I ordered a second so it’s definitely durable too. Only drawback is that the grip isn’t great in wet or wintery conditions.

Great shoe for non plated tempo daysGreat shoe for pushing on tempo days. Not a daily trainer for me with the lack of cushion but good road feel. Never need wide in any other shoes but needed it for the Mach 6 which seems to be a common experience

Quick feeling, but tight in the toe boxI bought these when recovering from Plantar Fasciitis at the heel. I am very happy that because of the "rocker" in the sole, I am able to strike mid foot and stay off my heel. My only issue is that the tight toe box is always bothering me. It doesn't need to be so. Make the toe box larger Hoka...

Running with Hoka’sThe Hoka mach 6 are one of the best shoes I have tried on. They offer top cushion for your whole feet and look great with all my clothes. I have been a Nike person until I got Mach 6 from my secret Santa for Xmas. Best present for my running gear and work outs. I now have a new favorite shoe to build on and hope Hoka keeps up the quality of theses Hoka Mach 6

Finally a great hoka shoe againI have tried a number of Hoka shoes to replace the Clayton after it was discontinued. They have all been disappointments, until now. This is my second pair of Mach 6’s. I have 400 miles on my first pair with minimal outsole wear. I like the look and light weight of the shoe. I use it mostly for daily runs. It is sufficiently responsive to handle faster paces. The cushioning is spot on, I.e. not too mushy or firm. If fits true to size

Feels pretty dang niceI haven't put many miles on these yet, but they're feeling good and comfortable. They do run narrow and I needed to go with a Wide shoe with this model. The regular width was way too tight up front. For comparison, I use a regular width Rincon and that feels fine, if not overly roomy. Other shoes I wear well are the Saucony Kinvara 13 and the Altra Torin 7.

HOKA is going through changesI love wearing Hokas. The high stack has allowed me to run much longer than my body would have otherwise allowed. Unfortunately, Hoka has decided to change their sizing. For years I have worn a US 10.5, but now I have to get a US 11.0 to get a comfortable Hoka. I question if this is a game they are playing with shoe weight, but regardless, be aware when you order you may need 1/2 size up. Quality is still good, but the fit is not the same as years past.

Miles, Miles, MilesI have loved these shoes for all of my training. From tempo to slow runs these shoes have been able to keep up. On longer runs my feet can become a little sore but overall the fit and feel is amazing. I wear a wide shoe which gives my foot the ample space it needs especially when they swell on bigger runs.

Not an improvementBoth the Mach 4 & 5 were my go-to daily road shoe. Something about the Mach 6 feels less responsive and “heavy/flat.” I still cycle my Mach 5’s into the week to give my legs a break. Definitely an improvement in the color, but likely my least favorite Hoka (I own many of the Hoka models).

Hoka Mach 6I have been a fan of the Mach series since inception. I am currently running in the Mach 6 and have approximately 70 miles on them. They feel lighter and more responsive than the Mach 5, and my pace has quickened by about 10 seconds per mile on normal training runs. The toe box seems a little more narrow, but I haven't noticed an ill effects yet. Overall, I like this new version of the Mach. Light and zippy, but still offers the same feeling of support and cushioning that Hoka is known for.

Mach 6 a close secondI've been hooked on Hoka's for over a year now but I was hooked on the Mach 5; the Mach 6 has been an adjustment. Less cushion but still the good spring and propulsion similar to the Mach 5. Esthetically I prefer the Mach 5 also, but the Mach 6 colors are quite appealing, too. I've tried several other brands/models to get as close to the Mach 5 as possible, but went back to the Mach 6; Hoka just can't be beat, in my opinion.

Best Mach YetAfter running through probably a dozen pairs of Mach 4 and 5, I was skeptical of the updated 6. It may just be the best one yet. Seems slightly more bouncy, but otherwise has the same feel as previous models. I did have to go up a half size though, which I something I've never had to do in any of the Hokas I've had through the years. If you're a Mach fan, you'll probably love this one too.

Love but…Love this shoe! Very responsive while still being soft enough. Also love how cute it is! However, it’s a little narrow for my feet, so I think I will need to return them, sadly, because I love these shoes. My feet also need just a little more stability/cushion at the top near my big toe. But that’s just my own foot problems.

It's okIt's ok, but I'll be returning them as they don't have enough support for me, and like many Hoka shoes throughout the years, they just don't fit my foot. That said, they have much better energy return, though they still run a bit "flat," like I find most Hokas do.

The Right ShoesThe right shoes vary with the individual. From 2004 until 2021 my right shoes were Saucony shoes from Big 5. I have narrow flat feet, but otherwise run quite smoothly, getting in 30 mile weeks at age 77+ at a 9-11 minute / mile pace. In Fall of 2022, at someone's suggestion - I can't remember who - I decided to try Hoka shoes. I immediately felt something that I hadn't felt with the Sauconys. I've worn them ever since. I order them through the SLO store, & for some reason they're sent to me from the Atlanta store. I put about 540 miles on them in 4 months. I expect they'll be my shoe of choice for the foreseeable future.

Good workhorse shoeGood shoe. It is lightweight. Pretty breathable. Plenty of outsole rubber. Foam is soft with a bit of bounce. Not as soft as something like the bondi nor as bouncy as say the Nike Invincible but definitely not a firm riding shoe. The ride overall is more flexible than a plated shoe like the endorphin speed. Can be used for daily training or speed work. A good all around shoe. I would buy it again.

Excellent Running Shoe w/ Improvement! The Hoka Mach 6 shoes have been vastly improved over the previous version (the 5's). Even after almost a 100 miles on the shoes, they still feel springy and plush. The rubber on the bottom helps with traction and reduces wear. The one-layer foam really makes the shoe feel comfortable on any terrain (including trail). These shoes are great for any distance from a workout to a 10+ mile run. The shoes are very supportive with a good amount of cushioning for those looking for a lightweight yet comfortable shoe. The shoes tie down very well and keep your foot secure. These shoes actually seem to be a tiny bit wider than the Mach 5, although its harder to tell during the first 100 miles. The sizing, on the other hand, is exactly true to size. Overall these are an excellent shoe for casual running, XC, track, or other sports. They are a great option for runners looking for a trainer that has good cushion, good speed, good durability, and good quality.

Super goodHaven’t run in Hoka in a while and decided these would be the ones to try. Super responsive, right amount of cushion, and they feel like they can do the work. Love them. Hard not to want to wear them every run. Running mileage ranges between 20-40 miles weekly for reference.

Different then regular Hoka. This shoe fits my foot well (2e). It's not a slab of foam but has mid foot support that encourages a forward roll. I would not recommend this shoe for a heal striker but someone that wants to practice a more mid foot landing. The foam is not too soft or not too firm. You may run a little faster and enjoy it a little more in this shoe.

The Best Mixed ShoeThe Mach 5 was my favorite shoe, for fast workouts and for some quiet ones, this Mach 6 has improved a lot and now has more cushioning, a little more stability, it is light, agile and allows to use it almost as a single shoe for everything, for slow paces and for the days of fartleks and fast workouts, it is a delight. The ventilation is still excellent, although not at the level of the previous version, and perhaps the only weak point is that due to the increased cushioning, it's not as flexible in the metatarsal area and the transition from rearfoot to forefoot is not as smooth as before, but that doesn't take away from how excellent it is. For those of us who are not fans of carbon or Phebax plates, I think there is no better option on the market than this for training and racing in the middle and long distances.

Great foray shoe for the old school runnerBeen running for years in Nike Pegasus, Pegasus trail and Structure. I'm a lightweight runner with flat feet and generally run low mileage. After suffering from some hip and knee issues (treated with rest and PT), a few friends recommended Hokas. I think the Mach are on the "lower" profile compared to other Hoka running sneakers, so I tried them along with NB Rebel V4, On Cloudrunner 2, and Saucony Ride 17. The Hoka's felt the best and after running for 3 weeks in them, I'm really happy. I don't feel too far off the ground, yet the cushioning is amazing. And toebox allows for room while still feeling arch support.

The more I wear them, the price is justifiedThe title says it all. I used to wear inexpensive shoes, thinking I was saving a bunch of money. The only problem with this kind of thinking is, your body is paying the price, in the long run. Spend the money on these, your body will highly appreciate it. Not only that but, they're very well built and will last a long time...

Works great for me... but everyone else?My first pair of HOKA's, and I'm loving them! They have some great bounce, and feel light and fast from track workouts to long runs. My one concern is that I have pretty narrow feet, and my regular 10.5 feels a tad narrow. On an average foot, I'm pretty sure that the last few toes would be pretty cramped in that small toe box. Length was perfect though!

Too NarrowI ordered my standard length but I opted for a wide instead of standard width. They were still way too narrow especially in the toe box. I immediately sent them back. I tried a standard width in a different color in a store and they didn't seem too bad. I don't know if there are quality control issues between colors or if that's just the way they fit. Either way, they're not for me.

My go to shoeI think shoes are pretty personal, but i really like that this shoe feels versatile. I can go long, short, or fast in them.

Good as the Hoka Mach 5?I’m 73 without ever having feet/knee/joint problems. Been a non-competitive runner for 45 yrs. I have run on a hard surfaced county road for last 30 yrs. Now for the shoes. They are very lightweight but plenty of cushion. I’m not sure I can say they’re better than the 5s were but certainly as good . I dropped a star because like so many shoes the tongue is too short FOR ME. Also like the 5s, they are already starting to show a very small amount of wear. The 5s only lasted 7 months before I felt it necessary to replace them. I only run 2 miles 3 days per week at 8.5 minute pace. The soles wearing quickly could be the road surface or my foot strike. Even with my critique I will continue to buy Hokas because of great cushioning & light weight. Color options are a plus!

Best Mach everA awesome shoe for any type of running you want to do. Hoka hit a home run with this Mach 6 in my opinion. It’s light weight, cushioned a lot , bouncy and has a great lock down. I have a pair of the Hoka Rocket x2, and the Carbon x3. I think this Mach 6 has more bounce and rebound effects than either of these so called super shoes with the Carbon Plates. I’m an old runner that’s been at it for 50 years now and I almost always have something I don’t like about a running shoe , but I can’t say anything negative about this new Mach. Good job Hoka. You guys have sure done your homework and created a winner with this one. Thank you so much

Nothing like Mach 4 or 5I was pretty dissapointed with the Mach 6. I loved the Mach 4 and 5 because they were light(fast), and stabile and supportive enough to go 6-10 miles without issue. The Mach 6 was light but the stability and support were not there for me. This shoe felt very similar to a recent Saucony shoe that was a big hit, which I also found difficult to run in. I was hoping for an improved Mach 5 but this is a completely different shoe.

Easy on your feet…Great color, lightweight - just right, great for casual wear and quick runs. Unsure about longer runs. Tongue has a quality fabric, but as a few mentioned, a little short, but workable. Will buy another, recommend to others!

Banger of a shoeCouldn't believe this shoe when I first put it on. Size 11s weighed in at a scant 8.4oz on my (uncalibrated) kitchen food scale but it had the stability and cushion of much beefier shoes. It's so light, so responsive, yet feels so stable. It's my new marathon shoe, which I take (overly) seriously. Just really fast, really stable, and with 60mi on them so far, they're not just my favorite Mach, they're one of my all-time favorite shoes in general.

Love these shoesI love running in the Rincons but needed a little more cushion and these are perfect! The Clifton’s are a little too much for me and I read a review that someone said they are between the Rincons and Clifton’s and I absolutely agree. I also love the slight roll forward since I heel strike.

Hoka Mach 6 reviewI am a college runner so I was in need of a shoe to keep up with the amount of mileage I run every week. And these shoes did the trick. I need a good cushion cause I have a pretty prominent heel strike and these are perfect. The perfect amount of bounce and they’re super light !! Would definitely recommend for runners who are just starting out or have been running for ages

My Absolute FavoritesI've had these shoes for a few months now and have put over 200 miles on them. I have used them for easy runs, long runs, and speed workouts. They have been fantastic for all my runs. They have become my new favorites, I loved them so much I have neglected the other shoes in my lineup because I just want to wear these. I owned the Mach 4s and Mach 5s. The 4s were great as well but I felt the 5s just weren't as impressive. The 6s have been great again and I am already planning on buying another pair. The fit is great, they are super comfortable, and they have a springiness to them that just makes them fun to run in. I will be sure to buy a couple more pairs before the 7s come out.

Hoka Mach 6Hoka Mach 6 true to size, fit is comfortable and shoe is lightweight. Beautiful colors to choose from and shoe is also good walking shoe. Toe box is roomy enough and I can’t feel the concrete pavement when running or walking. Great price for this shoe. I would recommend this shoe and would buy it again.

Even better than the 5Wore the shoes for over 150 miles now. They started off a bit stiff, but after about 20 miles they really loosened up. Speedy and light shoe that is able to go slow as well. Highly recommend.

Perfect for everythingI love this shoe! It's super smooth while being bouncy, and it disappears under your foot. The cushion of the foam is slightly on the firm side (which I love...more efficient), but the feeling of more stack and less ground feel makes these my fav for longer runs now. They feel perfect at all paces. It doesn't accelerate as fast as the Rebel v4 because of the extra stack in the forefoot but once you're moving it rolls so nicely, and tempo runs feel incredible. It fits my fairly narrow foot like a glove. By far the best fitting and feeling shoe I've had. Runs true to size for me. If you have wide feet, get the "wide". The tongue is great, and the upper is so well made that I barely have to tighten the laces.

Improvement over Mach 5Bought these are a quicker paced trainer, really liked the Mach 5s. Had to go half a size up over my 5s, my normal size in Hoka felt snug in the toes in these. Nice speed trainer, good bounce for not having carbon and comfortable. I find it hard to go at a long run/easy pace in these, but that’s good for what I bought them for.

Best yet for walkingI am a retired runner who walks now. The MACH 5 was fair for me but the MACH 6 is a dream. It's light, slightly lower in the arch for my flatter feet, rolls comfortably and has plenty of spring for my walks. The blue and blue-green color schemes are great for those of us who like to look good.

Mach 5-6I had the Mach 4 (& Rincons too), & loved them. The new models have a shorter tongue that slides around no matter how tight I tie my shoes. It chafes my ankle/top foot area so bad that I was raw! (I was wearing socks too.) I've been buying Hokas for years now, but can't any longer due to the tongue changes. I'm so dissappointed!

AmazingThese sneakers are the most comfortable pair of sneakers I have ever had on my feet! Now don't let me fool you I am not out running miles in these but I am getting close to 10k steps in a day. No I'm not trying to brag but hey I get around. Anyway back to the sneakers. They make me feel lighter when walking and even going up stairs. My only beef is that dicks doesn't carry anything but the black and white in wide... but they just felt so great I just had to have them right then!!! Maybe my next pair I will order from the site. Thank you very much!

Runs a tad snug and shortI am not sure if the color ways make a difference, but I tried on the blue version in my normal mens size 10.5 at a local run club and it felt a little narrow but length was great. However, when I received the white pair I ordered, my right toe rubbed the end while running. It seems this colorway runs a 1/2 size smaller (to me). I will be returning. The foam though feels great and no doubt this is a great shoe for 10k's etc.. I will just have to get a 1/2 size bigger to accommodate the length. BTW in ALL Hoka shoes ive always worn a 10.5 including trail versions.- Ill need an 11 in this shoe. Hope this helps! Happy running, all!

Not bad.Tried Hoka a few years ago but wasn't impressed because the midsole always went flat prematurely. Gambled on the Mach 6 after reading RW's review. True to size, roomy toe box, snug and secure in midfoot and heel. Nice balance of cushioning and responsiveness. Somewhat comparable to the NB FC Rebel, but I give the Rebel the edge. If the Mach 6 midsole lasts more than 150-200 miles, I'll give it another star.

Much improved over the Mach 5Put about 250 miles in the Mach 5. The Mach 6 is different enough to think it's a different line of shoe. My forefoot was swimming in the ocean of upper on the Mach 5, but the Mach 6 feels quite a bit narrower and secure on the forefoot. The Mach 5's two stage foam feels more plush on recovery runs but also a bit dead when picking up the pace. The Mach 6 feels a bit firmer underfoot but it's higher stack feels like you sink down a bit further for a more consistent feeling without that "bottoming out" feeling with the Mach 5's two stage foam. The laces on the Mach 6 could be a bit longer of you like heel lock lacing, but that's a small gripe. The upper feels invisble, which is a plus. I really like this shoe. Well done Hoka.
