- Low: Low-cut socks go no higher than the middle of the anklebone. No-show socks, which do not go higher than the top of your shoes, are also in this category.
- Quarter: Quarter socks are higher than low-cut socks and usually cover the anklebone entirely. This provides a feeling of stability in the ankle, and alleviates most blistering that could be caused when low-cut socks creep down and expose the skin on the back of the heel.
- Crew: Crew socks go as high as mid-calf. They provide full foot, ankle, and low leg coverage for a variety of activities.

Love injinji toe socksThese toe socks are great from keeping your toes from blistering. They work great in dry conditions; however when wet they do hold on to water.

Comments: I have these socks in three colors now - my favorite warm weather running socks. I have problems with bunions and the toe socks help me keep a healthy space between my toes. The colors help me keep my socks separate from everyone else's! I like the midweight padding for my longer runs. I've never had them bunch up nor cause blisters.
The midweight is good padding for long runs. I have these socks in three colors now. I would have stuck with charcoal grey but they kept getting mixed up with other people's socks. No longer a problem since I bought blue and yellow versions. Never bunch up, never got blisters. The toe separation helps keep my toes a healthy distance apart from each other, discouraging bunions.
