The New Balos V1 Delivers!! A Total Winner!Great news! Yesterday was my first training run in the brand-new New Balance Fresh Foam X Balos V1, and I couldn't be more impressed. Best Trainer That I Ever Run In70 year old who has been running since I was a 15 year old high school XC kid. Must say that the NB Balos is the best training shoe that I have ever worn. I alternate the Balos with the Superblast, and prefer the Balos because of the mid-foot rocker which provides a nice energy boost! Both shoes are light and cushy. Excited because the shoes keep getting better!

The Super (daily) TrainerThis shoe is what I was hoping the Superblast 2 would be - a soft, bouncy shoe that protects the legs while giving the energy return needed for faster paces. It’s not a tempo shoe but picking up the pace to half marathon speeds feels natural.
It would be a 5/5 if I didn’t get a little bit of ankle discomfort on long runs and a little bit of big toe discomfort from the reflective piece. But I’ve taken it up to 15 miles and they were still minor issues. At $200 it is a little steep in price but if you want the best daily trainer money can buy look no further.

Rebel V4 on steroids,Fantastic shoe. Super responsive, especially for 190 lbs muscle kids. Great job New Balance, however, the fact that USA does not have access to the black colorway is a bit nonsense. Great for up-tempo, mixed long distance to steasy runs.

Great until the rubber peeled offFantastic shoe. Looks like I just got a pair with a defect as the rubber towards the heel came "unglued" just after a few uses. Truly a great fit for wide feet. I did notice the foam needed time to recover and didn't feel the same if I tried to use the shoes the following day.

one of my favorite running shoesone of my favorite running shoes. I got a second pair, I like them probably a bit more than Superblast. The sizing works great for me, typically NB size 8 is too small but this one fits just right. I like the 6mm drop more than SB 8mm. I am a forefoot runner and Balos works best. They fit like a glove.

Best running shoe of 2024New Balance sure hit a home run with the Balos I feel. It’s a shoe that can do it all . At first I didn’t think I could do any speed workouts with it but I was wrong, they feel light and bouncy while I’m doing intervals. I absolutely love the cushion feel as if I’m running on a cloud. I’m a old runner that’s been at it for 50 years now and this is for sure one of the most comfortable and fun shoes I’ve ever ran in

Great daily and long run shoeI had heard a lot about the Balos prior to buying it as I was looking for a non-plated daily trainer that could handle long runs as well. The Balos definitely met those requirements. Its a lower profile shoe but plenty of cushion and responsiveness. It can handle daily mileage and long runs quite well, and you don't find yourself loosing that responsiveness even deep into a long run. They aren't bad for up tempo sessions, but not quite as propulsive as a plated super trainer. But this is definitely a do it all shoe that is on par with the Asics Superblast as a Swiss Army knife super trainer.

BestTried a couple other shoe brands out ever since Nb increased the price of my lovely trusty 1080 to like 170$. Just didn’t seem like I could justify it when Cliftons are 140$. But other shoes just can’t seem to touch what new balance has. Gave this one a try bc I was running in the Nike Pegasus and hating my life. This shoe brought me such joy. So much bounce, the upper is perfect, amazing cushion, love the curve of the bottom and it’s so light and soft. Idc that it’s expensive I guess new balance is worth it

Sweet and Comfortable but size up!I am a 7 in regular shoes and 7.5 in running shoes. I thought these would be a similar fit to the 1080 v13 (I'm a 7.5 in this) but they're a bit smaller. They feel exceptionally comfortable and bouncy. Much lighter than the 1080. Toe box is roomy in terms of width. However, I'm returning this for a size 8 because I like to wear cushioned socks. I can see myself enjoying these on a long run.
Highly recommend buying one whole size up.
