All Women's Road Shoes

  • Daily TrainersDaily Trainers

The baseline definition of a running shoe. Daily Trainers lean on time-proven designs, technologies and features for dependable cushioning, support and comfort. They're a staple in every runner's closet, and if you are new to running shoes, then you should start your journey here.

  • Performance TrainersPerformance Trainers

Performance Trainers provide a springy feel and make longer runs easier and faster runs faster. While quicker than Daily Trainers, Performance Trainers are not nearly as fast as Super Shoes. Due to a focus on keeping things light weight, Performance Trainers are less durable than Daily Trainers. These can also be a good option for one's first race shoe.

  • Super ShoesSuper Shoes

Super Shoes are the fastest running shoes you can buy. They are designed to race your absolute best and represent the pinnacle of running shoe technology and innovation. They have the highest energy return foams and plates for new levels of performance. Low durability, but maximum speed is the name of the game here.

  • Soft & Muddy TrailsSoft & Muddy Trails

Designed for use in muddy, soggy conditions, these shoes feature very aggressive outsoles that dig deep into soft ground for exceptional traction.

Cushioning Level

  • Cushioning level, or stack height, refers to how much shoe is between your foot and the ground. For this category, we reference the amount of cushioning below the forefoot as the heel height will be equal to or greater than the forefoot height.
Learn more about stack heights and how we measure them.

  • Barefoot

0-13mm. The Shoe generally does not have a midsole and feels like there is no cushioning. This shoe is all about feeling the ground underfoot.

  • Minimal

14-18mm. The shoe has a thin midsole that allows for a natural running experience. Racing shoes and minimalist shoes are common here. These shoes offer a feeling of being connected to the road or trail.

  • Low

19-23mm. The shoe has a slightly cushioned feel and may feature added cushioning technologies. Performance training shoes and some trail shoes are common here. These offer protection during footstrike but prioritize a lightweight, grounded experience.

  • Medium

24-28mm. These shoes have a stack height that fall near the middle of the spectrum. The shoes in this category are verstaile and great for all types of runs and distances.

  • High

29-34mm. The shoe has a thick midsole and ample cushioning. These shoes are highly protective and absorb more impact than the body.

  • Maximal

35mm plus. The shoe has an extremely thick midsole and extra cushioning. The focus is on protection and soft foam underfoot with hardly any ground feel.

Stability Level

  • Neutral

Neutral shoes support the foot through a normal range of arch collapse and generally do not have a built-in technology to correct movement.

  • Stable

Stability shoes are a great option for those who overpronate or need added support. These shoes help to limit the inward rolling motion of the ankle while running or walking and assist in guiding the foot straight through the gait cycle.

How We Measure Our Shoe Specs

  • We measure every shoe in-house to provide accurate and consistent details.

  • Weight

The weight is based on a Men's size 9 for Men's and Unisex shoes or Women's size 8 for Women's shoes. The weight listed is for a single shoe, including the laces.

  • Heel Stack

The heel stack refers to how high your heel sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Forefoot Stack

Forefoot stack refers to how high the ball of the foot sits above the ground when wearing shoes. Based on Men's size 9 as the standard.

  • Heel-toe Offset

Heel-toe offset (drop) is the difference in height between the heel stack and the forefoot stack. We use the number given to us by the brand.

How We Measure Shoe Fit

  • All measurements are based on Medium width.

  • Fit (width) options are Narrow - Snug - Average - Roomy - Wide.

  • Sizing (length) options are Short - True - Long. Note: fit is relative to the "average" running shoe.

  • We partner with SmartLast, a program by Heeluxe, to use advanced shoe-measuring technology, to provide objective measurements for toe box, midfoot, and heel widths as well as overall length.

Awesome! After a few 3 ml runs I love them.I'm 71, 165 lbs, Great cushion, heel support and a medium width toe box but I had to get them 11(normally 10.5) because Nike is typically narrow.

Solid TrainerReally amazing ride and comfortable upper. I'll be using these for my easy days on the road when I'm not on the trail. SQUISH! I ordered my usual 9.5 and they feel a bit snug in the toebox, but it doesn't cause any problems. My only complaint is would be that the upper is really warm.

Absolute WorkhouseBest daily trainer in years.

Almost goodIf there were as much underfoot as there is above, it would be so much better. The forefoot has little protection / stack for a shoe of this weight and for its best case use. It’s not really any more than most normal training shoes. Plus, the 10mm drop puts even more pressure on the forefoot, and the foam there feels like it’s mostly react, which doesn’t measure up to current shoes. I also found it too flexible, making my foot work too hard to toe off. Did back-to-back with the Glycerin Max, and my pace was 20” slower per mile for the same perceived effort. Just get a Pegasus or some other normal, lighter shoe for running. The extra weight in this shoe doesn’t go to adding protection or saving feet on longer / easier runs. But, if you like super built-up and comfortable uppers and aren’t really using them for running, it’s a good-looking casual shoe.

Great for everyday easy runsThese are the first pair of Nike's I have used for running in about 10 years. They are comfortable and fit my wide-ish foot very well. So far I put on around 60 miles in the month I have owned them. Only used for easy runs (I am a 4hr marathoner) so around 830-10min mile pace and they are enjoyable. Midsole is responsive yet soft, nice padded tongue, good lock down. Only negatives are they don't breathe very well and run a bit hot. I have also worn through the nubbies on the outer heel where I normally experience the most wear. I don't expect these to hold up to more than 150 miles. I will likely then transition them into casual wear shoes since the styling is fairly neutral. Overall, it's a good shoe that I keep reaching for on easy days and then don't even think about while running in them since they are super comfortable.

Overall great shoe for easy milesThe Vomero 18 felt amazing on foot. The dual foam setup was something I was skeptical of Initially, however, it proved to be everything Nike boasted of. I’m a forefoot striker, so I don’t know much about the heel-to-toe transition other than the shoes handling well on some steeper downhills. The shoes are by no means a speedy trainer, but that’s not to say they aren’t an exciting one. They felt bouncy enough at 7’30” pace and maintained that comfortable ride even moving a bit quicker at 6’30” pace. Honestly, I can’t imagine going any faster than the latter in these, but they do a phenomenal job for easy miles. My only small gripe is the heel being a little bit on the clunkier side of things, although it’s nothing too dramatic. The only reason I give these 4/5 stars is because I feel like they could be a little bouncier/lighter to where tempo sessions would be possible to run in them. Overall the shoe does what it’s supposed to do, and feels amazing, but it is by no means a “unicorn/do it all” trainer.

Mileage HogsSoft, balanced and very good fit. Back in the day you had trainers and flats. These are great trainers. The Vomero kind of lost it's way for a few years, but this version is proof it is back. Good step in feel, lock down and toe space. Outsole is strategic and flexible. Low volume, wider foot. 5'9 and 155 lbs and I run 40-50 mpw on pavement and flat dirt paths
